Tress spotted banging a co-ed in the top bunk of the freshman dorms. I'm hearing she was a 6.5-7.

Has anyone thought that JT is just giving a courtesy interview to his alma mater?

Why would JT give Akron a courtesy interview? Usually it's the other way around

And, Akron was his first GA gig.

A lot of people are mistakenly under the impression that, if a coach interviews for an opening, it means he wants the job and getting the job is the only reason he could possibly be interviewing.

I guess that was my thought. SVF, what other reasons would someone like Jim Tressel interview for a position that he doesn't want? Wouldn't that be a waste of time for all parties involved? I'm curious as to your assertion here.

Coaches interview all the time for jobs they have no intention of taking. There are numerous reasons: to hone their interview skills, to keep abreast of what their competition is doing by looking at other schools' facilities and how the program is run, or simply to exchange ideas in football circles with coaching peers and ADs. Tressel was an AD himself for many years. Not to mention a dozen other reasons we have no idea about, thus my comment to Pick6. Its VERY common at the HS level, but the principles are the same.

Makes sense, and thanks for the explanation.

If Akron does hire him, the NCAA will probably come out with a show cause ruling the same day and c-block them. If Akron and Tressel are serious they need to do it ASAP before the NCAA gets their shit around. So it shouldn't be that hard.
