Wouldnt it be sweet to get Dan Mullen? I know that is wishful thinking but he did say he wants to get the best coaching staff in America.

But he is the offensive coordinator now. Kragthorpe has a condition that will not improve, so it would appear they won't be switching back anytime soon.

Haha. Mullen is going to need to be fired and then he is going to need to become radioactive after he is fired. I have a feeling he is going to be a commodity as a head coach for some time.

I'm not worried about OC though. In his presser, Meyer essentially said he would be calling most of the plays.

Huh? A head coach at an SEC school going somewhere to be a position coach or coordinator? Too much kool aid for you.

Yea I guess I wouldnt be hurt either way just saying that I am a closet Dan Mullen fan and think he is a good coach. Just ready to see who will be leading the D and hoping we can land a couple big time recruits.

No he didn't. He said that he was going to hire an OC but he would still sometimes call plays.

True, but there is no guarantee that Studwara would be the OC next year. Its not like he interviewed for the job, he was picked to do it because it was on such short notice and he had been on staff for 5 years.

Urban Meyer: We're going to hire an offensive coordinator. One of the issues that I'm dealing with right now is my guys are all gone. Everybody has their little coaching tree...You try to adapt to what you've got. So it's going to be some spread elements. But there's also going to be other stuff involved. I will hire a play caller offensive coordinator. I will call plays myself and be very involved in that like I've done in the past.

Or maybe Brian Kelly would settle to come to OSU to be the OC and try to get it back together again.

After appearing in the SEC Championship and probably going to the National Championship I would hope he didn't have to interview for that job. Do you really think they would send him packing and go look for somebody else after this season? Come on.

I don't know. Probably the same reason you refuse to read his next statement. "I will call plays myself and be very involved in that like I've done in the past." haha

He is running Kragthorpe's offense, not his own. LSU's offense looks NOTHING like a Studwra offense. LSU may not want to go to his offense. LSU may not want someone to keep calling plays in someone else's offense.

Uh huh, because he never said he would call most of the plays. He said he would hire a PLAY CALLER OC AND call plays. He NEVER said he would call most of the plays.

He didn't interview for the job before the season and he hadn't appeared in the SECCG or NC game when he was made OC. He is a spread offensive coordinator (Meyer's OC at BG). Doesn't really fit with what LSU does.

whatever dude. I could care less. I just heard him say "I will call plays myself." That's pretty black and white. But I guess you know more than I do, so I will take your word for it. You're right, I'm wrong.

Actually he was Meyer's O-line coach and became OC after Meyer left.

I dunno why ppl keep saying he was Meyer's OC.

It's not my problem that you only want to pay attention to part of what he said.

You guys ever think that Kragthorpe and Studwara are doing what Les Miles wants to do offensively? This LSU offense looks nothing like what Kragthorpe did at Tulsa. They are at the mercy of the head coach. Whoever's system it is, Studwara is running it, and doing a pretty good job at it.

Ok cool. But you do realize the irony of your post right? You yourself are choosing to ignore one part of his statement in lieu of another.

Can't wait to see the play caller that Urban hires. Hopefully he dials up some really good plays when he calls them most of the time.
