Lady Knights never trailed in this one. Great bounce from the CITC and roll the Riders on the road.
The OCC is down to a 2 team race. The way the Knights are playing, and the way Wooster has played of late, the Knights have a chance.

Wooster loses to Lex. WH had 11 3's in the first half. We zoned and held Synder to 5-6 points in the first half, but their guards killed us with outside shooting. At half we were only down by 5 after they made 11 three's. I've never seen a team travel as much as WH and they didn't even call all of them and that helped us stay in the game. Snyder's points were mostly at the end of the game on foul shots. Strouther and 31 were the ones that killed us with outside shooting. Davault looked good as did Adcock who ripped away a number of balls and drove to the hoop. We'll have to settle for 2nd or 3rd depending on the Woo-WH game and our game with Wooster.

Sure, if we beat Wooster and you beat Wooster then Woo and us both have three losses and tied for 2nd. If Wooster beats you and Senior beats you then we'd be tied with you for 2nd. All possibles, but not as likely as us being 3rd. Now if you think you can't beat Wooster and that's why you think we can't be 2nd thats another story.

If WH builds on that win over Orrville, they will be in great shape for the OCC and beyond. Very, very impressive. I doubt you can count on making 14 3's per game, but playing that well against a quality opponent has to have their confidence soaring - which is maybe all they were missing. At the Classic, I was also impressed with Orrville and the Duvault/Plybon tandem. I thought they would beat WH. The Lady Knights showed everyone what they have.

Our problem is lack of height and being able to guard the other teams height. The zone worked well, but when the other team shoots it like they did it negates its use. We'll have the same problem against Wooster.

Lady Knights escape with a 42-36 win over a very scrappy Ashland team tonight. Knights played a horrible game tonight and still managed to win. Way too many mistakes, turnovers, poor passing, wild shots, etc.
I'd say it was a let down after sat game at Orrville.

West Holmes all but puts the wraps on another OCC crown with a 42-26 drubbing of Wooster. Knights force 26 turnovers, and dominate defensively. They held Larin Waller to 2 points, which was 14 under her average, while Hally-Galto-Malta lead with only 11 points.
Congrats to WH on once again showing who is the premiere team in the OCC, and how to go on the road and win the crown! To think a group of frosh/soph/and jr's womanhandled all those sr's from Wooster.

Who the hell is Larin Waller and Hally-Galto-Malta?
Wooster was out everythinged tonight. Biggest thing was no sort of intensity all night. First time I've seen them in person this season, and I have no idea how they've only lost 3 games. Guarantee this team doesn't get out of Sectionals. That story in The Daily Record a few weeks back about Wooster girls basketball being back was a joke. The teams from the 90's and even 8-9 years ago would paste this team by 20-25 on a bad night.

Good luck to Orrville in the rematch with Wooster. I think Orrville wins that rematch, as the Wooster seniors seem to have folded up the tents.

when is it the knights play the lady hawks? A little leery about that game...has the potential to be ugly. on the other hand, should the hawks be able to make a respectable showing, and pull out a win (?!) could give them a lot of confidence, which seems they really need right now. But the lady Knights are looking good and rolling right now!
(saw the little write up on junior. congrats to him. Do they give bowling schollies??)
