Shoulda been a yellow. Nascar knew Harvick would run outta gas?

It's mathematically only a 2 horse race now

Without a doubt there should have been a fucking caution. She was still on the racetrack and there was an oil slick halfway down the stretch.

They have to park him.

Jeff Burton at Texas ring a bell? Lol He went full retard then.

Seeing everything now, Gordon went a little far, but that was an old school I'm sick of your shit move. Gordon has started every race since his first start and is I think 3 years from passing Ricky Rudd for most consecutive, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's parked next week. Plenty of drivers have done what he's done, doesn't make it right though.

One could only imagine what it would've sounded like if @JRsBBQ was calling the end of that race. #NASCAR

My problem is how he did it. He took other race cars out to settle a score with Bowyer. Keselowski was right in the area. What if Kes would have gotten damage because of it? Unexcusable.

Also Bowyer would have at least mathematically been in it for next week if it weren't for that. It cost him multiple spots in the final standings, therefore a lot of money.

Funny how that girlie boy Gordon had the cops standing outside of his hauler.

Afraid he's gonna get his ass kicked.

Yeah, that's the part I agree with. Wait until next weekend or next year and do it then. Apparently Jeff didn't feel like waiting though.

Jeff Gordon is the new Honey Badger. He don't care how hard he hits somebody.

Right...lol

I loved how Jeffy put himself into the wall trying to retaliate immediatly after that bump from Bowyer.

And Kes once again drives throught another accident infont of him. I've become a huge Kes fan this year even though I'm not a fan of his Sponsor. I hope he pulls off the championship.

I don't care about Kes...but I want him to win it to get the Captain his first cup. It blows my mind that Penske has yet to win a Sprint Cup championship.

I'm sure NASCAR had more to do with that than Gordon did.

Per Joey Logano...

When I was young I thought #JeffGordonWeb was the best driver. Now I've lost a lot of respect for him. #verydumb

Nice tweet and true. But Gordon has dumped drivers before.

Theres a difference between dumping a driver and doing what he did today. I went back and watched and yes, Bowyer was indeed only 7 points behind Johnson in the Chase at that point. Bowyer could have been fighting next week as well, not for just first, but second, which there is a huge difference in money at the end of the year between second and third.

Which is why you park Gordon, so he can get 0 points and fall back a few spots more as well.

Points were the last thing on Honey Badger Gordon's mind. He was on a mission for carnage. Nascar could park him for the last race. Depends on the meeting and Helton's decision. In the off season look for a subtle Nascar statement saying 'have at it' is over.

Have you seen the attention this has drawn? See the talk it has generated? I guarantee you that's not happening.

Busch got parked last year for wrecking someone in a meaningless Truck race. This was the 2nd to last race on a championship contending SPRINT CUP driver. IMO Gordon should be suspended for the next two races, that was uncalled for

Plus that wasn't having at it. That was some dirty stuff. It wasn't dumping him for position, it was simply dumping him after a black flag

Eh, they aren't comparable IMO. Kyle was on probation at the time.

Was just rewatching, yes, as they were running, Bowyer was 8 points behind Johnson. The difference between 2nd and 3rd in the final standings is a hell of a lot of money.

Exactly. Bowyer did not have a realistic chance at the title, but could have mathematically had a shot if he was like top 5 and Brad and Jimmie both blew up on lap 1 next week.

However, after Jimmie's tire, second place was definitely attainable
