The funniest part is, OSU has one down season in 10 years, and suddenly they're out of the national scene in college football...lol!

Actually no. I think it's a great hire and he should do very well there. I look forward to some great UM/OSU battles with Hoke and Meyer leading the way. A new 10 year war would be great, as long as Michigan wins at least 6 of them. :)

Obviously the guy on your fb is a tard. But it is funny to hear OSU fans talking about Meyer's "haters".

"But what I don't want to have happen, and I made this clear to Jeremy, if I am able to go coach, I want to coach at one place, the University of Florida. It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach. I don't want to do that. I have too much love for this University and these players and for what we've built." - Urban Meyer

I understand the angst and bitterness from Florida fans, can't say that were the shoe on the other foot that I would be feeling too much differently...but dudes coming home, where he grew up, to the place he started his coaching career, met the mother of his children, and got his degree.

Deep down Florida fans had to know this was a possibility.

Florida is a stepping stone, Ohio State is a destination.

Sorry Florida fans. At least you'll never be Notre Dame, where coaches go to get paid but never to win.

Fl fans have to remember in all this, never did UM think Tress wasn't going to still be coaching at OSU. Then it happened and if UM didn't take it now who is to say there would be another chance for him down the line? This is home and he came back. Now I did say shit about UM while at Fl but come on that is what fans do. I will eat crow if you'd like for that but he is now the Buckeye's coach and anyone would be a fool to say he isn't a good one! I am pumped!

Yea, I could see UF fans being pissed if he took off for USC or Florida State, but he was given an opportunity to coach for a school that he has always loved, that nobody 12 months ago thought would be open. So yea, it kind of looks bad, but on the other hand, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity for an Ohio guy.

I get it. Meyer and I are the same age. He has had major life changes every few years. Moving all over from Ohio through the ranks, then 3 Head Coach stops. A chance to go home after achieving great success and take the same job Woody Hayes and Earle Bruce had made his eyes light up.

I knew it was coming for a long time....I honestly didn't think it would happen this fast.

Count me as one Florida fan who is extremely happy to see Coach Meyer back in the game, regardless of where he is

Did anyone else catch the "in 362 days" comment regarding the Michigan game? Not real dramatic like JT did, just kind of slipped it in there, but it's good to hear he knows what time it is. :D
