With the new CBA, the salaries are slotted. Both Luck and Barkley will be had at bargain basement prices compared to many first round picks in the last few seasons where guys could basically hold out and negotiate depending on what everyone in front of them got.tk421;979984 wrote:Barkley is just as good a QB without costing you number #1 money. If I'm a GM, I'd still think about trading my #1 pick if some other team wants Luck so bad to give up a future #1 and other picks. Agreed. The Colts will hold a lot of the keys to how the draft plays out. In most years, where the #1 pick (especially a QB) would become 1 of the top 3 highest-paid players on your team, it would be impossible for them to swing it without getting rid of Peyton. However, with the slotted salaries, they should be able to afford the cap hit on Peyton and carry Luck for at least a year or two before deciding which direction to move. Definitely wouldn't have been possible prior to this CBA.

USC has been able to move the ball running. Made a mistake last drive throwing it on 2nd down. We'll see what they do here...they are probably 3 first downs from icing it.

If USC and Baylor were to both hold on, that would mean the BCS is probably #1 LSU, #2 Bama, #3 Arkansas.

The most identifying characteristic of a dynasty is multiple championships in a row. No Conference in History has had 4 different teams in a row win a title. According to the article "SEC Builds Dynasty in College Football," Jon Solomon writes:
