Exactly what I said yesterday

Where there is smoke, there is fire. There is a lot of smoke swirling around right now.

sorry, misunderstood you...btw, I've often defended him, but I thought Spielman was horrible today--it was the worst game I've heard him call

Muschamp says Urban Meyer unlikely to OSU because of his "deteriorating health." What does THAT mean?

Ohio State has been in contact with Urban Meyer about becoming the school's coach, sources close to the ESPN analyst and the Buckeyes have told ESPN.com.
No contract is in place and no announcement likely would be made until after the regular season, but there is strong interest on both sides.

He's always bad. I love what the guy stands for, but wouldn't be upset if I never had to hear him do another game and hear him on the radio.

I think he was being facetious. Seriously, how would he know? Illness didn't stop him before.

I know it's speculation. But another coach making $5MM per year is outragious. College football is killing itself.

Ohio State makes enough money and has a large enough endowment they will write a blank check to someone they think will win championships.

Just imagine what these contracts will look like in 10 years. Bigger TV deals, larger conferences, demand continuing to increase.

They are not even close yet to reaching the point of diminishing returns.

I'm not saying the funds are going to hard to come by. I'm concerned how the business of college football has ruined it. Coaching salaries are an easy example.

When you're the "farm system" for the NFL it's not so difficult to surmise that coaching salaries are going to escalate. Look no further that the NFL for somewhere to place blame if you must.

They don't even need his money. The football program is self sufficient based upon stadium revenues, sponsorships and revenue sharing from the Big 10.

LOL, you're an idiot. OSU had a top 5-7 class last year. They are in a position to finish with a top 15 class this year, despite all the distractions. OSU has PLENTY of talent. The coaching, however, is lacking. In comes Urban Meyer (hopefully), a coach who has won 2 NCs in 6 years at a BCS school.

OSU will be just fine. One step back for two steps forward.

Why? Because you say so? Supply and demand. Market says they are worth it, so that's what they get
