Well, we had a really good Wooster Week Pep Rally at OHS this afternoon.
Then we went on to have a parade from the school to the downtown to pick up the "casket" (which, of course, I have to get my shot in on how stupid I think that is..........hence, therefore, perhaps and alas).
And back to the high school for the burning of the dummy....which we are still allowed to do, thank God......along with good firing up speeches.
The crowd was a little on the low side...........BUT.........enthusiastic and ready to kick some Wooster butt.
Go Riders!

Go Orrville beat Wooster! Although this season hasn't turned out the way you planned a win tonight will make up for all that hard work!

Down 27-0 with 4 minutes left in the half. Wow. I'm at a loss for words.

The speed of Wooster's WRs is scary. Their sieve defense is scary, too, but in a different way. If they had any defense at all they'd probably had another 4-5 wins this year.

Why now are you at a loss for words? This has been going on all year! Troll called this and he has been right most of the year! Geez what a basher he is? Or is he just a realist??? Some of you guys need to get with reality because this is it over the next 3-4 years!Red Rider;1305787 wrote:Down 27-0 with 4 minutes left in the half. Wow. I'm at a loss for words.

What a year. Glad it's over.
I really thought, after the Madison game, that we had a shot at 3-7.

What was the final score? Did Orrville extend the streak to 8?

Perhaps the coach could extract the potential talent from the players on the field and the sidelines, alas he might have more than one victory. He couldn't, hence the losing season! You still LOL!RedRider1;1304700 wrote:Perhaps if the coach were willing to play the kids on the sidelines, alas he could have captured the title.
He didn't, hence the loss.
LOL.

Frustrating season for sure, I hope these young kids hate this feeling as much as us fans do and work their butts off this offseason so we don't have a repeat of this next year.

Thoughts & prayers for Joel Zook..possible serious knee injury. Could impact basketball & track season. One of the few bright spots on the field for us tonight.
1-9 sucks. Hope to not see that again for another 40 years.

First one in 7 years. We all know you'll be rooting for more. See you next fall...we know you'll be quiet during bball season.Series62;1305979 wrote:Perhaps the coach could extract the potential talent from the players on the field and the sidelines, alas he might have more than one victory. A team that only had 2 wins and is our biggest rival smoked us. The score could have easily been 49-7, but Wooster didn't execute very well in the second half. We haven't been 1-9 since 1972.

That possession where we had the ball at their 5 down 27-7 before half was the ball game. We score and its a 2 score game going into half. Just bad playcalling & execution...a microcosm of the season.

I never rooted for them to lose, it just didn't make a difference one way or another.RedRider1;1306045 wrote:First one in 7 years. We all know you'll be rooting for more. See you next fall...we know you'll be quiet during bball season.
I wasn't quiet during the previous basketball season when the Riders finished with a losing season just as they more than likely will this season. Yes, they had a good playoff run, mostly due to the weak district and favorable seeding despite the losing record.
Your deep fanaticism has tendency to blind you to reality. This season was more a lack of coaching skills (when it was really needed), then lack of talent.

Sounds like you're throwing quite a few coaches and kids under the bus with the negative bashing in that comment.

Saying we didn't execute on their 5 yard line and it was a result of bad execution AND not the best playcalling in that situation was fact, not bashing. Everyone in the stadium knew it was a momentum changer had we been able to score there.
Perhaps had you attended the game you would have therefore known that. Hence you didn't, alas your ignorance on the matter.

The continuation of trying to force pass plays to work when wr's aren't catching and the qb is consistent with over-throwing, under-throwing or trying to pass into double/triple coverage resulting in interceptions all when the few run attempts were working very well was a FACT.
Comments such as that are based on the games I've attended. In your mind however, it's "negative and bashing" of the coaches and players.
If I, TK or RRN would've said exactly what you said, then rrfn, oqb, rr, old rider and yourself are labeling us in that same fashion!
Speak about what you know, hence you don't, unfortunately your ignorance, period!
