Anyways, I call BS. Please tell us how you were wronged. More rock throwing rumors? Beat up in the bathroom? Hahaha what is it?
The refs stuck their d's in our b-hole in '97
The school refused to play us in '99-'00 because they wanted us to travel there twice
The school backed out of the ECOL about a year ago.

Hahaha those are the ways how you guys were so wronged? You are either full of it or you don't know what we are talking about here.

The refs screwed you? what does this have to do with Steubenville??? home cookin, right?

Steubenville wanted you guys to travel there twice? ok maybe they should not have requested that, but why not????

They realized joining a league was not the right thing to do.

Wow, yah sounds like Steubenville really had it out for Dover. Get real. I doubt you have intimate knowledge or proof of any of those silly reasons anyway.

Why couldn't they "realize" that before committing to join?

Wow, bases is all about the b-hole. Makes you wonder what all types of things get stuck in there.

Diver boys crying about officiating? Naw.

If I'm Dover, I'm begging for Steubenville in the regular season. I do not blame them for refusing to go to Steubenville 2 years in a row, but I would be BEGGING for a home and home. It's the same reason I wish Steubenville would schedule Mooney. It is how you get better. Period.

Looking at Diver's record against top programs in the state it's no surprise they want nothing to do w the Red in the regular season. They ran fast from Massillon after their plan to catch the Tigers in a down year backfired. No reason to think they ever want another reg season matchup with a powerhouse program.

Another good reason to not schedule the Mighty Big Red is when they get beat up they wont be able to "hang their hat" on that lone victory against BIG Red.

I don't think they want to get better. Coach whatIfft and the Diver boys are content with beating up on their weak conference foes, losing after one or two playoffs games and getting on w b ball. Plus they have a ready-made excuse that they don't have transfers so they fail with pride.

In my lifetime I know they at least beat them in '97.

'97 was the worst team in Big Red history, 2010 was the 2nd worst. Figured I get that out of the way before some yinzer busted in with it.

No, but 97 and 2010 were a couple of the best Dover teams ever?? Says more about Dover, if you ask me.

'97 was a non qualifier and 2010 one of the least talented Dover playoff teams.

Hope this helps... Only 7 hours left of trolling then we'll be gone till august

I always love watching the Dover offense......the Wr's are the best blockers I see every single year. I just wish Orrville could watch some tape to see the passing game and use it....

Great season Dover!

Bases might be smarter than we give him credit for, knowing that there were only 7 hours left in the season.

WOW. Thought Mooney had an advantage but did not see Mooney as being able to hang a 70 up in a regional final (is that an OHSAA record)? Congrats to Mooney and good luck the rest of the way. Good season Dover, I am sure they are a bunch of good kids.

While I feel bad for the kids at Dover (Swinderman one heck of a QB), there are several posters on here that it is only fitting that the "be humble or be humbled" adage applies to. They know who they are. And they are using the same excuses that some of our overzealous posters use. Good luck next year...that is until you play us.

It is too bad for the Dover boys. As far as the knuckleheads on here, it will be fun to see how they spin this beatdown to end their season.

Probably the same way your "knuckleheads" did last week with the exception of blaming bad officiating for any part of the loss.

good post! Dover seems to have congratulated Mooney and wished them well. Stubbers is still whining about the refs...laying claims to being the 2nd best team in the state...LOL

Great season Dover!
I still miss plying Orrville. wish they would start playing again . Had some really great games. Our offense should be good next year. Hope we can build a much better defense.

As much as it may disappoint our detractors,I think Dover will be strong next year. We will certainly miss some pretty good players but that seems to be the case every year.

our key returnees
Wallick
Raber
Mamarella
Short
Fell
Degidio
Sergent
Dummermuth
Morris
Filippi
Foust
Farmer
Clinker
Casto

That is a pretty good nucleus,I think a stronger nucleus than returned in 2011 Swindy will be missed, but I think the offense will just be tweaked a little,I am guessing the QB will be Mamarella but will not be totally suprised if it is Merrick that way we can leave Mason at reciever and have Merrick for 3 seasons.

I think the defense will certainly be stronger,I really don't think they were as bad as they appeared at times as they were pretty young, and by the time Mooney came up a young Defense was also depleated. I think a lot of the problems were more mental as they would fail to read keys and generally forget fundamentals. To me the most disapointing aspect was that they did not seem to learn as the season went on and even regressed. I think they should be able to cut the point total in half to about 12-14 per game.
