That's just it though...Cribbs does a lot more than just returning kicks. Not only is he a top 5 kick/punt returner, but he is a great gunner on punt and kickoff coverage and brings another dimension to the offense in the wildcat and at WR. The guy is dynamic and can single handedly influence the outcome of a game. He plays his ass off and the fans love him. The Browns shouldn't give him a blank check, but it would be a gesture of goodwill to reward him a little more for his value to this team. And what it tells free agents, is that you are smart enough to not blow $10mm a year (Hester's deal) on a kick returner, in turn saving money to sign other players that could help you win in the future.
