I hardly think that what he did...or better yet...what he didn't do, would protect him under the federal whistleblower laws.

Being a true "whistle blower", would entail going to the real authorities....as in state police...at the minimum.

Prosecution views this guy as their ace in the hole in garnishing convictions. I just wonder if deals were already cut for McQueary and Paterno, for their GJ testimony.

From what we have read, about 90% of the public would like to see all the enablers be held accountable for this.

He is in secret protective custody.

During a brief and emotional conversation, McQueary told them, “I wanted to let you guys know I'm not your coach anymore. I'm done.”

When players asked, "Coach, where are you? Can we see you?" McQueary responded, “No, I'm actually in protective custody. I'm not in State College.”

I hope not. If he would have actually blown the whistle in 2002, then absolutely.

Dude's in a bad spot. Both sides are angry at him. The people that think he should have done more to help the kid immediately, and the nimrods that think PSU did nothing wrong and that he's lying about seeing a 60 year old man buggering a 10 year old boy.

I think a lot of people blame him for Joe Pa getting fired. That to me is why he's in protective custody. If he does something (w/e it may be), then Joe Pa doesn't get fired.<---Not how I feel, but some irrational fans who are thinking football 1st.

I'm sure if someone tries to hurt him, the folks who are protecting him will be sure to call their dads before deciding how to defend him...the next day.

Not the best choice of words given the current climate.

I know, but maybe he could have chosen a better phrase for drinking the pain away than that one.

As long as they tell their superiors, they will have done what they are obligated to do.

I thought it was odd when his dad said "He's not in State College, PA, but I don't believe he's in protective custody."
