No secret that Urbie and JoePa are very tight buddies (wonder if Sandusky & Meyer were tight too?...yes pun intended.) Will Meyer step in and volunteer to bring Pedi State University back to respectibility? And in a couple years publically pardon JoePa on his death bed? I hope UM (no way could an OSU HC ever have those initials...) chooses the Happy Valley route and sells that house in Upper Arlington.

Call me crazy but I don't think he goes back to coaching for 3-5 more years, if at all. Meyer (and his arrest records) is the last guy the Buckeyes need at this point.

Many guys don't go back after those tv jobs. They are still connected to the game but don't have workload or pressure of a coach.

If Urban decides to leave the TV lifestyle, it will be for OSU.

I don't see anyone interested in the PSU job right now except for maybe an alum like Al Golden.

The situation is just too toxic right now for someone like Meyer or a big name to have any interest.

Urban Meyer will be the next head coach of the Ohio State football team, if he isn't I'll buy everyone an Ipad.

I can see Al Golden going to Penn St. Great guy, tough guy, can lift the program out of the mess instead of the program currently messed up.

Except they get paid 20x more when coaching. That's a big difference.

By all accounts from OSU insiders, Urban is a done deal. The last premium article had a source from someone very close to the BoT. One can only hope.

Until the Penn St. sex scandal i would agree that Golden (Miami head coach) was the logical choice but not now. The Penn St. job will be maybe the worst coaching "opportunity" for at least a few years. It will take some time for that black cloud to go away. Recruits are going to stay away ( guys are not going to want to go to a locker room where boys were raped by a Penn St. coach). That is a visual that will stick in the nations sports conscious for a long time. No one will want to be associated with that.

Then who does PSU get? Tom Bradley? A lesser name from the MAC/C-USA?

I would have to think the BOT wants to clear house on this coaching staff and that would mean gicving Bradley walking papers. Bradley has been there 33 years, worked under Sandusky on the defensive side of the ball and of course under Paterno.

To add credibility to this, if MB doesn't buy everyone an iPad, I'll buy everyone an iPad.

Urban Meyer isn't going somewhere that isn't ready made for a national title. That will leave both these places off the list after Ohio State's Failure to Monitor.

Urban has too much baggage to even be considered by the Penn State hiring committee. Penn State needs the closest thing to Jesus Christ and his disciples there is in college football.

Well, everyone thought that was Joe Paterno until recently. No one is squeeky clean these days.

The last thing Penn State needs is a great football coach, that's what got them the most heinous epic failure in all of sports history. They need the squeakiest clean coach they can find, even if he has a piss poor winning percentage. Penn State needs to restore the university's character and dignity before they restore their football program

Urban Meyer will not take either job. If he wanted to coach, he would still be at Florida.
