Looks sweet, but they put covers on the existing stadium because they can't come close to filling it; even with a decent team.

The current stadium is two miles away from campus, this one will be a brief walk across the river. That will certainly help get students there.

I'm absolutely sure it would. I just don't think it would make THAT big of an impact.

That looks pretty awesome. Just don't like the idea of walking across the river that will probably cause some problems somewhere down the road.

Never caused a problem at OSU or a number of other schools. Don't see why it would here.

Just once at Toledo after the Pitt game.

Their stadium now holds 50,000 and they have an average attendance of around 40,000 now. I think they only have a little over 10,000 students so I doubt putting the stadium 2 miles closer will make that much of a difference. Looks to be a pretty sweet set up though.

There is a Funk in the Ottawa. You would never be right again after a dip in there.

Where's the parking? Their attendance doesn't come from students but the community.

Two miles away at the old stadium. They figured it is time someone other than the students did the walking.

I like it.

My favorite is still Siena's proposal (not the college, but rather the Italian Serie A side).

Two miles really isn't that far away. You could live on OSU's campus and still have to walk two miles to get to the Horseshoe.

OSU's has residence halls two miles away from the 'shoe?

And the difference is Ohio State's games command attention.

I'm not saying it'll pack the stadium, but if it's closer to campus you will see an increase in the number of students no doubt.

ohio state may not have student housing two miles away from campus, but you know that students live past 4 St. That's quite a distance (1.7 miles from my apartment near 4th/Lane), but not over a bridge. Now basketball season is a different story.
