Some don't, and they take their own life in their late teens/young adult life. My wife works for a company that finds home for kids that have been sexually and physically abused. Some of the shit she used to come home and tell me was down right sickening. It got to the point where I told her sorry, I don't want to discuss it. Keep that shit at work. Seems like every year, her company has 2 or 3 kids that they were able to find homes for when they were a young child, end up killing themselves because of it.
