Pressure Wallace early and often
limit the damage the Zimmerly boys do (they like to run a lot of sweeps and counters with the brothers) I think our team speed will be able to contain them.
Pass coverage has got to get better.

Does it give you an automatic 7 points at the start of the game or something? I agree with ts, it means nothing on game day. Its not like Norwayne is going to go in scared or intimidated because of "tradition."

For you posters that have been here awhile, I believe it was said that Orrville's freshman would beat Norwayne......sparked a decent debate about OCC vs WCAL. As I said in that discussion Orrville's freshman would NOT beat norwayne. haha that comment was said in jest, but sparked a conversation and now Norwayne gets to prove how strong/weak the poor little WCAL teams are. norwayne will not be impressed by the tradition of orrville - if that were the case, they would be scared of nearly every team they play - almost all of whom have more tradition than norwayne. I think orrville wins this game, something like 28-21.

I stayed away for a while but really need to put a few things on: I have read through 4 pages of nothing but Orrville fans talking about tradition and how many playoff games we have won as opposed to Norwayne calling Creston Crestvirginia and Im amazed! I have spoke about it all in the past as well but looks as if Im more level headed than most right now. First of all Orrville classless act last night putting that on the scoreboard! Do that in the Wooster game not a playoff game. The only saving grace is that the scoreboard is far less impressive then originally thought and it was barely visible to the naked eye. Also if anyone on here thinks Norwayne gives a rats hoot how many wins Orrville has and how their tradition is I assure you they could care less. You are feeding their fire and all the more reason they want to lay one on the Riders. Im also amazed by the level of arrogance on here from Orrville considering we have only won one playoff game so far. Lastly if I walk into whatever stadium we play at next week and anyone other then Drew Brenner is the starting QB then I really will turn around and leave. No disrespect at all to kyle Lichti but this is the best football Orrville has played all year and seem to be healthy as well so if its not broken then dont fix it. If we cant at least figure out what is working then everything i have sounded off about this year is absolutely correct. Have a good week, a fun week but be smart because as i have learned this year these kids see everything you are writing!

First off... Congrats to the Bobcats and the Norwayne faithful and the Red Riders for playing in week 12! Only 16 teams get that opportunity. It is something to have pride in.

Secondly, either team would not be playing week 12 if that were not deserving. Week 11 you can get some blowouts and mismatches, but by the final 16 you can for the most part accept that it will be a battle (unless you are Genoa..lol). Norwayne has very good football team led by a stellar athlete in Wallace...but they are not all Adam Wallace. They have obviously figured out how to play as a team. They pose a challenge to any opponent. And yes, even Orrville. Trust me when I say that Orrville has respect for what Norwayne has accomplished and realize if they don't bring their A game they go home.

Orrville also knows how to play as team. They are not all Brenner, Turner, Monheim. They are a battle tested club with battle tested players who have been in some MONSTROUS games the past few years. They know very well they don't win anything because they are "Orrville". They have to earn it on the field. But those of you posters who want to discount our Tradition have no clue what RTR is about....no clue. It is not even about winning or losing it is about the way you go about your business as a Red Rider to earn the respect of all those great great players who put on the uniform. As our captains stated at the Woo bonfire.."Orrville football is not just what we do....it is a part of who we are"

We as fans and parents/friends of the players should relish this week. Any time two local teams make the sweet 16 it is a big deal.....A matter of pride for us all.... and when they have a chance to face off.....WOW we are are very fortunate. Let us all hope for a great weather week and even more let us all pray for a healthy night for all those involved.

No doubt. If you don't respect your opponents in the playoffs before the game you probably will as you're sitting at home the next week after it. Norwayne and Orrville both are well deserving of this game and I fully expect both will bring their best. Thats what makes OHSAA playoffs great and this one will be extra-special within the county.

I'd love the video board to be bigger, but let's not look a gift horse in the mouth...unless you've got a big check to write, you should probably keep quiet.

You are right but that should not have been put up there in a playoff game. I thought you did a great job im just saying that should have happened at end of Wooster game. As far as the NW threads and other threads what I say on there is meant to get a rise out of people and obviuosly it works and also it has worked with you. Maybe since you are so invloved in planning games for Orrville with electronics maybe you can figure out how to get the music that is played in the press box to stop skipping! It sounds ridiculous and Im gusessing they ar using a 45 record player to play it? Otherwise it wouldnt skip! Do your job with these and I will do my job as a fan on here voicing my opinions and we will all live happily ever after
