He is quite likely Luke Fickell's favorite player:

He helped him GET his job and could possibly help SAVE it too!

He'd probably be a Heisman candidate if he played in the SEC.

I remember the first time I saw Herron play. As a freshman, he got in late in the Solon playoff game in 2003 and ran very hard. I knew he was going to be decent, but he has improved every year and has really surprised some people who doubted his ability to be an every-down back in the Big Ten.

Yea, it's easy to tell that the kid has a great work ethic. Even though he really messed up, it's hard to dislike the guy, because he is 100% Buckeye, and his emotions Saturday night proved that!

Hopefully the younger guys on the team take note of Boom. He's a guy who truly found out that playing football for OSU is a privilege and he lost that privilege due to some poor decisions. He's a very hard worker, a good player, good leader, 100% Buckeye, and does a lot of good in the community....but even all that didn't make him immune to taking football for granted and making the decisions he did.

I think the powers making the coaching decisions are basing it on more than one player's last three months of his playing career.

I could call some posters out, but I wont.

Glad to see Boom doing great. Met his father at breakfast in the hotel in LA the day of the Rose Bowl. Cool guy.

I can't see him being a 1st round pick, but he might sneak into the 2nd.

I'll bet anything that he isn't a 1st rounder. I doubt he's inn the 2nd round either.

Boom is vocal leader and one of the most respected guys on the team. Combine that with being a really good running back and his return has been HUGE for OSU.

I personally think Luke is gone even if he wins every game the rest of the year though, including a bowl.

3rd rounder at best at this point.

BUT...NOT the difference in the OSU turnaround. Getting an all Big 10 lineman back has made the difference.

If Montario Hardesty was a 2nd rounder, Boom Herron is at least that...

I tend to agree with this, but I do think he's playing a bigger part in the turnaround than you're giving him credit for--jmo

I was never real high on him. I always thought he was lacking too many qualities to be the main guy at OSU.

But he has been spectacular this year. I doubt he gets drafted in the 2nd, but I think he's a 3rd round guy. Regardless, I think he has some success in the NFL. He looks more elusive this year and is a tough guy. Glad to see how he's responded to the criticism he brought on with the suspension.

Who the heck cares about where he gets drafted. Right now he's carrying this team through a rough stretch of games.

It's good to see Herron and Adams make the best of their situation and having good seasons...btw, anyone hear anymore on Posey? is he still taking classes and working out with the team? it'd be great to see him bust out against Pervert U with a 100+ yard game
