Anyone use these? My wife is selling some stuff for a "side" business (food stuff) and she wants the ability to accept credit cards. I've found some apps on the iTunes App Store that will allow her to do this, but I was wondering if anyone on here has used these for their own private ventures... and if so, do you like them, dislike them, etc.

I haven't, hope this helps.

My wife has a card reader that plugs into the headphone jack on the iPhone.

Yes, I've seen one that does that. Does she like it? Reliable and safe?

You're best bet is to read the reviews of each in the App store.

It appears to be pretty self explanatory, doesn't it? It's a fucking app that does what you want.

You said square, so I looked up "square." Not "square up."

That one looks to charge a 2.75% fee per transaction. Me no like.

Yes to all three. She's done hundreds of transactions on it and has never had problem. She's a hooker btw. If you have valid CC we can test it out.

Notice that the name of the app is Square. Not square up.

Hope this helps.

Good luck finding an app that does what you want for free. 2.75% is pretty cheap.

Yeah. I think paypal takes a higher percentage than this. Three cents on the dollar is dirt cheap.

the app is called square. get over the fee per transaction. It costs money for businesses to accept credit cards. Hence the reason why some places require minimum $ amounts to use a credit/debit card.

The only way you won't be hit with a fee is by taking cash or check.

Hope this helps.

I'd like to be able to accept credit cards, but I don't want to pay a transaction fee even though every other vendor on the planet that takes credit card has to pay one.

Out of three that I've looked at thus far, "Square" is the only one that reveals their transaction fee. I don't like that at all, so "square" is looking like a reputable app.

Justin - are you saying you USE square?

No, he just lets people swipe their card in his ass crack. That's all the payment he needs.
