Burrow? Not that I'm aware of.

Word is that Urban wanted Burrow to come to OSU early but Burrow wanted to stay and play his senior year of basketball with his buddies.

Don't see a problem with that. Coming early is nice if you're going to be fighting for a 2nd string job or in rare cases a starting job, but when you're going to be QB 5 or 6 with no chance of not redshirting, have fun with your buddies for awhile longer.

Not sure that's how it's going to be but who knows. I don't blame him at all regardless. His team won 78-24 and he had 24 including his 1,000th.

You think there's a chance he doesn't redshirt? I just can't see that.

Agreed. Best case scenario for Burrow would be 2nd string. That's counting BM transferring, or not playing QB, and Cardale transferring or going pro. Along with T. Gibson being moved to WR.

More likely is that he will enter fall camp as the 6th QB, with potential to "win" the #4 job.

Wut? Is that something people actually think might happen?

Stranger things have happened. Players declare and go undrafted all the time. If he gets a favorable report back from the Draft Committee, especially if he plays well in the next games(s) I wouldn't rule it out.

I'd say it's a long shot, but think of it this way. What if Jones has really good games the next two games, then he's back to a 3rd string(2nd string if Braxton leaves) QB. Barrett would have to leave after next season for Jones to be the starting QB, barring another Barrett injury. It's very possible that his stock would never be higher if he has two great games in the playoffs.

Jimmy Clausen is the starting QB for the Chicago Bears. I think Cardale is a lock for the NFL.

Also wasn't there a USC QB who was drafted who never played a game for USC? I can't think of his name off the top of my head but he got a fat contract and then sort of fell off the map.

Yup that's it. Cordale is better than Cassel and 4.8 trillion times better than Jimmy Clausen.

Jimmy Clausen is the Bears starting QB. The NFL team Chicago bears. Enough said?

What if we won the title, Cardale goes pro, and becomes the first mildly successful OSU NFL QB in a while? The idea of that scenario even being in play is absurd.
