Lol what?? He was the best player in the secondary and would mean not starting basically all new guys.se-alum;1574458 wrote:I'm ready to move on from Bryant. I think he was an average safety, and the D was getting gashed before he was hurt. He was a good enough player for OSU, but nothing special.

Great, informative post. As usual.SportsAndLady;1574465 wrote:Can you move on from this site?
What did Bryant do that was special? Have 2 int's over 3 seasons? I get that he was a leader, but he was an average safety, and the numbers back that up.

2 career picks, 3 forced fumbles, averaged about 5 tkls a game? He just wasn't an impact player. Solid, but I think Powell or Bell can easily match those numbers.Midstate01;1574547 wrote:They do?

I'm with SE. I think Bryant was very overrated. We just didn't have anyone better them him (except potentially Bell, who didn't play nearly enough).

Neither of them would have half his leadership though. And it's very clear osu lacked leadership on offense.

Leadership doesn't make plays, talent does. The defense was getting gashed by mediocre to bad teams when he was on the field this year. I could see the argument if they defense went downhill after he was hurt, but it was bad from the start.Midstate01;1574592 wrote:Neither of them would have half his leadership though. It was way worse after he went down. Safety numbers aren't the easiest to determine what is good. I'd want CB2 in my secondary.se-alum;1574600 wrote:Leadership doesn't make plays, talent does. I saw Lone Survivor. It was pretty legit. You should check it out.SportsAndLady;1574349 wrote:I'm sure he'd be crushed by this.
When's your next movie review coming out?

You've never heard "I'm taking my talents to..." before? Seriously?vball10set;1574397 wrote:Pardon me for asking, but are you inferring that this Gardens35 is actually a recruit, or is this some sort of joke I'm not getting?

I think the part that might have confused him is that it seemed obvious that Gardens was being sarcastic with the combination of "take my talents" and "University of Ohio State" in mocking how players make a huge presentation of their signing along with occasionally botching the name of their school. And so he was probably wondering why that induced your typical hilariously overwrought rage over minor annoyances.Scarlet_Buckeye;1574905 wrote:You've never heard "I'm taking my talents to..." before? Not expecting it, but Malik McDowell would be a great way to finish off this very strong class. It's also great to see 1/3 of the class already on campus.

Apparently he is leaning MSU, but his parents want him out of state, either OSU or FSU.

I think malik should go where he wants. Not where his parents want. Stupid when parents wanna live their lives through their kids.

i misread the second one. Sounds like she does, or did prefer out of state. But she is kind of back peddling on the statement.WebFire;1576013 wrote:Now I'm reading that his mom prefers he stay in state.

I don't think that's the case here. I don't think they are trying to live through him. Sounds like they really want him away from his current group of friends. Which is also somewhat odd.Midstate01;1576021 wrote:I think malik should go where he wants. Not where his parents want. Stupid when parents wanna live their lives through their kids.

His dad, obviously. We’re basically at the same point, his mother and I, as long as he gets away from Michigan we don’t care where he goes. We’ve expressed numerous times all we want is the best for him and seeing him get out of here we think is best. It’s for his future. I just want him to recognize that and hopefully he understands and he will take that into account and say I’m 17 and my parents want the best for me and I’ll jump on board because it’s only three or four years that I’m going to be away, and I want to get to this certain level and be somewhere I can concentrate. You have to be somewhere you have less distractions and be around people that do what you do, go to class, be football players, be a student-athlete. That’s the environment I want him to be around, and not be in close proximity to his friends.
I want him out of Michigan. I don’t care if that’s Ohio State or Florida State.

Not necessarily. There was a kid from Toledo Rogers, Fred Davis, who went out USC. He was recruited by both OSU and ttun, but his mom wanted him to get as far away from here as possible. She felt that the kids he was hanging with wouldn't allow him to keep to stay focused on school, and that he would flunk out. True story (my mom worked with her).xKoToVxSyNdRoMe;1576048 wrote:I don't think that's the case here. I don't think they are trying to live through him. He must still hang out with the wrong people. Guy has been suspended more games than not in the nfl
