^^^One would have to be extremely naive to think that's actually the reason--who would leave ND to go to South Florida? Give me a fucking break :rolleyes:

Homesickness which started pretty much as soon as he got to campus. Easier to get through it when you are playing games and playing well. He's dropped hints recently about not really being comfortable at ND. I think he was quoted today as just saying he wanted to be at home. Hop over to the ND thread if you want to discuss it any more so we don't clutter up the OSU thread and get people riled up.

He's likely going to USF because ND won't release him to either of the big 3 in Florida (UF, FSU, UM). Stay classy nd.

link to where you saw they blocked a transfer to any of those schools? Kelly said in his presser that there hasn't even been the initial talks about who he wants to talk to. No one can talk to him at this point or it would be considered tampering. He is likely going to USF because that is where his girlfriend is going next year. Give me a link that isn't bleacher report or eleven warriors.

just read through a thread on another site and the only mention was a Bruce Feldman tweet saying a source told him those three schools were blocked. There was also an update from a pay 247 site that there weren't restrictions and USF will be the choice so he can be close to his gf.

@BFeldmanCBS: Notre Dame won't release stud DE Aaron Lynch to FSU, UF or Miami, per a source. Hearing USF is the leader on this one.


Don't shoot the messenger. I'll trust Bruce Feldman over USF's 247 site. I think the truth will come out at some point.

Contrary to published reports, Kelly did not block Lynch’s transfer to any other school — not that it was necessarily tested.


Some schools that were reported to be blocked didn’t request a release for Lynch. South Florida, the school most likely to be Lynch’s landing spot, did request permission to talk to Lynch and was not blocked.

On Friday night, I was told by a source that Notre Dame is NOT releasing Lynch to Florida, FSU or Miami, and that USF was the favorite to land the talented DE. It is worth noting that Lynch can still appeal that decision, and as we've seen with Danny O'Brien and DeAnthony Arnett cases, these types of things can really become publicity grease fires when a program blocks a player's transfer options. ND could say it doesn't want Lynch to go play for some opponent on their future schedule, but keep in mind, the Irish just accepted a transfer (Amir Carlisle) from a program that is their arch-rival (USC).

I wouldn't be surprised to see OSU land 2-3 commits this weekend or soon after.

My guesses are Courtney Love, Mike Heuerman and Alex Anzalone. A very impressive trio.

No, he doesn't.

Fwiw, Joey Bosa to OSU may happen this weekend as well. Some rumors from some credible posters/insiders are saying he may commit this weekend. Would be huge.
