I guess it isn't multiple DUI's. . . but it still doesn't look good when one player has 3 alcohol related arrests over a period of 2 years. He's basically one hood jumping/tasering by police incident away from Alex Boone territory.
He is way past Boone. He only got cause once IIRC while he was in school, but his problems were well known. Floyd is approaching Stephen Garcia status I think.

It is a shame for Clarke because he is so good. You just can't give a new coaching staff a reason to let you go.

At some schools, an OVI after a previous arrest would be a slap on the wrist. Urban could have sent him to Stradley Hall for a semester and made him get good grades, but he booted him to prove he meant business. I'm sure Clarke will catch on someone and become a productive player. He is very talented.

Lol you must have not been here in a while Stradley is known as the biggest party dorm on campus.

Pilfers a strong word Vball. Decker like every other blue-chipper has until Feb to make up his mind about a decision that will impact the rest of his life. Maybe by then ND will be able to convince him the Blue & Gold is in his best interest and he goes there anyway. Of course pigs will most likely fly out of Kelly's ass before that happens.

Ha, it was said in jest. Stradley was my home for a year. Glad to see it's still doing well 10 years later.

Clarke had a 4.0 GPA coming out of high school and was heralded as a character type kid. I guess it shows you never know.

On one hand I say boot him to send a message, but on the other hand he may be the best corner on the roster right now. This was not a make room decision, Clarke was going to play an important role on the team.

No sane person is pissed. Decker would have been OSU a long time ago if the previous staff was competent. Grew up an OSU fan and is two hours from Columbus and isn't offered until mid January? I have no problem with him choosing OSU.

As far as Hinton and Warriner go, neither one is reallya surprise other than they both said they weren't going anywhere. Hinton had been friends with Meyer for a long time and has 3 more years left of working in Ohio until he gets his full retirement package from the state. It makes perfect sense. Warriner got passed over for the OC job at Notre Dame and want happy about that. Good for him to find somewhere else if he was going to be bitter.

The only thing that's stupid and I was challenging was people making stuff up. If you'd like to use a school keeping a player on the team with multiple DUIs an example, you need to look no further than your biggest rival.

No one is throwing shit around except certain OSU fans.

False. Bradley Roby is/was. Clarke was, however, our 2nd best CB.

Adolphus Washington got a 5th star on rivals, and is now a 5 star on Rivals and Scout.

O'Conner, Reeves and Williams are looking really good right now. I think we get Santos or Perkins then get a CB/WR. The CB/WR will be the surprise I think.

Really, I didn't know Tobias was an OSU fan... seeing as he started the whole argument I would say you are incredibly off base.

Your girlfriend is hungry, go make her some lunch.

Maybe you missed the part of my post where I said the only thing I was arguing was people making things up. Tobias can fight his own battles, but he did say it was his opinion, not fact.

And if you want to play the elementary school game, ghosthunter started the whole argument by suggesting Meyer freed up more scholarship space.

I'm hungry too now, make us both a sammich.

This.

terry_tate said he initially thought so too. The timing is awfully suspicious.

Clarke must have been in with urban, on how to time his OVI. Same with Gambrell for beating up his girlfriend.

You're off base there, Lotz. I read somwhere in these 40+ pages about how many slots were left for the incoming class; saw the headline on Yahoo concerning the dismissals, then posted it. Nothing more, nothing less. Never did I write UM freed up scholly space.

I wrote those 2 players leaving should help (or something like that), with the implied thought being to available scholarships left to the incoming class.

For the purpose of getting more slots this year. The kids were let go because of disicipline reasons. I don't feel UM did it just because he wanted their scholly's. They gave them up with their actions.

But you can see how it can be taken that way. I thought the comment was slightly off color. It's pretty sad that these kids have screwed up the greatest opportunities in their lives. I don't really look at them getting booted as any kind of positive.

I'm not off base, you said it would free up spots. My comment about the elementary school game and "he started it" stuff was tongue in cheek in response to Fly4Fun saying Tobias "started it". I didn't mean anything negative towards you at all. Sorry if it came across that way.

Cam Burrows 2013 CB recruit will announce on Thursday. Weird timing because I thought Urban wanted the 2013 guys to wait until after NLOID, but I assume he is all buckeye.
