I agree for the most part. Me and an OSU buddy were talking about this today. I think it's strange that a kid commits based SOLELY on the position coach. Obviously it's a big part of it. The head coach at major programs are obviously super busy and some players may only talk to them a few times a year. Your position coach is your daddy, and you interact with them a 1000x more than the HC. They are the ones you are trusting to get you to the league, not the HC. I understand that. Not sure I would go that far. But there is a reason for a timeline when it comes to signing players. Again, we are talking about 18yr olds who are wined and dine and told how great they are by everyone. Then we expect them to make a decision without waffling or changing their minds. Guess what? Thats not going to happen. Even when a kid signs, we see them transfer. It is what it is. Its not going to change.
