Urban's the master

Like he did with McMillan, Meyer recently visited Dixon for an in-home visit. Dixon took an official visit to Ohio State for the Buckeyes’ 31-24 win over Wisconsin on Sept. 28, a game in which the Meyer had NBA megastar LeBron James deliver a pregame speech to his team.

Any word on where U-God and Ghostface Killah end up?

I haven't been following recruiting closely, so I may be off base, but didn't 4 star (seems to be a 3 star now, but I would of swore he was a 4) Lonnie Johnson decommit because of all the WRs OSU already had committed? Throw in a probable Lattimore and Smith(I assume he will play DB?)...seems like even more of a log-jam. Maybe Johnson was figuring in that Dixon and Lattimore were going to commit anyways?

Sounds like he had a lot going on from potential grade issues to some injuries. Shortly after decommitting he went to signing with Western Michigan. That's shocking that another B1G couldn't nab him but he went straight to the MAC.

The '14 Buckeye squad may be the fastest in the history of the B1G.

Michael Chung ‏@MChungOZone58m
Next year, if Dontre Wilson, Curtis Samuel, James Clark, Devin Smith, & Johnnie Dixon all line up, OSU will have 5 sub 4.4 players on field.

Michael Chung ‏@MChungOZone56m
Dontre Wilson runs a 4.33, Curtis Samuel a 4.36, James Clark a 4.38, Devin Smith a 4.33 and Dixon has been clocked at 4.37 in the forty.

Nice that the Ohio state buckeyes are taking that sec talent away. The Buckeyes are going to be fearsome in the coming seasons. Meyer has worked magic with Tressel recruits imagine what is going to be like when all his recruits are playing? Thanks for playing guys the sec is going down.

I worry about the QB play tho. I fear Meyer has recruited well, but I don't feel all that confident in Jones, Barrett, or Collier.

Why Barrett? From what I hear, we should feel very confident with him moving forward.

I'm kinda worried about this too. Though, I really like Collier's film. He has pretty good mechanics, and runs with a lot of strength. They say Barrett has a great arm, guess we'll see in the spring.

Dave Biddle was on SiriusXM's CSN a couple weeks ago discussing the heir apparent to Miller. He said that even though he was set back because of knee surgery, he was impressed with not only his pocket presence but the way he was throwing lasers to his receivers. He said the coaches indicated that if Brax were to leave, then in all probability he'd be the guy. On a side note, he never talked about Cardale, which I found interesting.

They also say Barrett is a tremendous leader for being so young. Also, don't know if it was mentioned, but Dixon will also enroll in January.

Dated his cousin for a while. Big dude. Didn't strike me as a crazy athlete though, hope I'm wrong. I think he'll be solid, but nothing special (my personal bias prediction).

Certainly looks athletic on film.

Remember the first time I saw Jon Deibler play live. Had talked him uo to my friends and took them. He came out for warmups and looked like such a goof dick. He was bo legged and just seemed kinda clumsy. My friends were like wtf did you bring us to see this kid for. Then he dropped 60 something and we were like, well ok then.

Haha yeah, fair enough. It probably doens't help that I remember Sam when he was like 5'10 and then he hit a big growth spurt and got huge. He used to be committed to ND for Lax, I think he actually prefers lax to football but realizes he has a shot to be special in fb (and never lax)

I wasn't sold on Barrett even BEFORE the knee injury.

Will Hubbard end up at DE? His height could be tough for a LB.

Also, I was bored and looking at some recruiting several years down the road. It seems like Nick Bosa is a virtual lock for OSU. Obviously, anything could happen, but I've read where he is expected to be as good as Joey, if not better. Not too many freshman start on a team like St. Thomas Aquinas.

Idk... something odd about a kid from Texas that wasn't even offered by Texas, Texas A&M, or Oklahoma, I guess.
His throwing motion looks a little weird, but I suppose that's always something that can be corrected over time with coaching.

It's not like I hated him or didn't even like him... all I'm saying is... I wasn't sold on him BEFORE the injury, and then AFTER the injury I'm especially hesitant. That's all.
