lol non wasn't kidding unless I am missing something and he admitted to joking. He is so fucking dumb, he actually believes his own theory.

Edit: I guess a misread as well, but I will keep the post just so people know how much of an idiot non is.

I see ND winning 3 of the 4, but wouldn't be surprised if they win only 2.

I think they're between 11-15 personally. There are some computer models which take into account efficiency that have ND at 11th. Between the 20's this year, they've been largely unstoppable. But we all thought the boneheaded plays would stop, and they haven't. This Notre Dame team would struggle beating a good team because they will do something to fuck themselves.

It'll be interesting to see if Notre Dame gets its shit together for the Stanford game. That would be epic.

Hopefully the BK comment stuff can be put to rest. He's definitely still learning to handle himself now that's he in a 24/7 coaching spotlight. If anyone actually watched the video itself it really wasn't as bad as the media made it out to be. It was one of those things that were easily twisted and made into a big deal. Should he have said it? Absolutely not. But it goes to show you have to watch every single comment when you're the coach at ND. Not making excuses for him tho. He's learning.

Meh. Brian Kelly shouldn't be "learning" at this point in his career.

Meh. He is learning that ND is different than any other place as far as the microscope goes. He acted the same on the sidelines at Cincinnati and probably at central and grand valley. The difference is the camera is always on him at ND. Same with talking to the media. No one gives a Fuck at those other places but that isn't the case at Notre Dame. That's what he's learning. Meh.

Rich Rodriguez said the same kind of shit at Michigan. Always blamed someone else, including the kids. Never took any responsibility for what was happening. He also had some pretty nice meltdowns on the sidelines. Michigan fans defended it for awhile, because he was the coach and no one wants to admit failure at something.

Kelly at ND this year reminds me of RR at Michigan.

Let's get real. It doesn't take a genius to know the things he has said shouldn't be said. Hell, even as a high school coach I would never say those things. No cameras or media there at all.

Sorry, I just don't buy into "he needs to learn" BS. Unless you mean he needs to learn to mask his true personality.

You're right, he does need to mask his personality some, like every coach does at a big time school. BK has always said how he feels and he's learning to tone that down. This has been blown way out of proportion. We get that you don't like ND/Kelly. Cool, move on.

Not sure what "proportion" would suit an ND fan but what was said is said...not sure it can be candy coated.

Did you actually watch the interview or just making your assessment off the media's over blown take on it? I agreed he should not have said it.

Very valid point. As I said, I know he was trying to fire up the upperclassmen...and it clearly worked.

I just don't know what the long-term ramifications are going to be from this.

No, I didn't watch the interview in its entirety, but there isn't a "context" issue with what he said. He just should shut the hell up. Even if he claims that he said what he said to motivate them it is just a fail, he hasn't been around there long enough nor won enough games to use that tool effectively, particularly given his actions on the sidelines.

Long term ramifications? None IMO. It will be forgotten in a week. They cleared the air "in house". I think all is good going forward. Winning cures all.

I hope so. And judging by how the players were acting around Kelly yesterday, it would appear that would be correct. Blanton was laughing with Kelly...Jonas Gray had his arm around Kelly...others stepped up and played great.

I just hope that it really is all forgotten, because I would hate a certain junior linebacker to decide to make the jump instead of coming back for his senior season because of that comment.

I really hope they do because I would love nothing more than for someone to expose Stanford for the pretenders that they are.

Also, my take was that it was motivational. I don't think that was BK's intention. The reporter kind of walked him into those comments when he asked if BK could get the type of kids he wants at ND. Like I said, watch the video and I think you'll agree it's all a bit overblown.

Brian Kelly, midway thru his 2nd year at Notre Dame, has won a bowl game and has 1 win against ND's main rival in 2 tries.

RichRod never even came close to beating Ohio State in 3 seasons and he took Michigan to one bowl game and got absolutely pasted.
