They still don't control their destiny. Getting to the CG is contingent on someone else losing. Change the title to OSU can still win the B1G and you have a true statement.

How exactly was I wrong? The question was a hypothetical one since Ohio State and Boise State do not play in Columbus this season. Also, I admit that at THIS POINT in the season BSU would be favored, I still maintain that at the beginning of the season the oddsmakers would have had OSU favored at home ranked #16 in the nation.

Regardless, that is irrelevant because we will never know who is right and who is wrong in that situation since it has not and will not happen this season. You, however, did make a stupid statement and can't own up to it even though you've been owned by the entire OC.

I'm cool with education....when it is factually accurate. You either control your own destiny or you don't, that's all. Penn State and Wisconsin are the only teams in OSU's division that control their own destiny to the Bee One Gee title game at this point now.

You can cuss and call all the names you want, but it doesn't change the fact that you didn't (don't?) understand the meaning of the cliche you used in the thread title. And continued to argue about it despite several people trying to enlighten and educate you.

As for whether it is an "outside chance" or not, beating Wisconsin is no easy task to begin with. But you are right, a win there and it keeps title hopes alive. Do you really think OSU will be favored over Penn State though? I would say it is wishful thinking at this point to believe that a 4-3 team who completed one pass in its last game is going to beat three ranked teams that include 3 of the top 4 scoring defenses in the league. You weren't really educating anyone, you were just hoping out loud that some amazing sequence of events unfolds (if it does, great for you).

He can read just fine, but you really have a comprehension problem. Ohio State in no way controls their own destiny. You can add amendments to your thread title all you want, but if you have to say "if so-and-so loses" then the team in question does not control their own destiny. Penn St. has played the easiest Big 10 schedule to date, if Illinois is your biggest game in the league to date.

LOL, you did? When was Boise St. favored at Ohio State? What was the spread in that game? All you did was say BSU would be favored at OSU (in the beginning of the season), I said they wouldn't have been at the beginning of the year. How did you show me up again?
