Which do you prefer when you are drinking beer?

Bottles or cans?

You don't think it tastes different when it comes from a can?

Prefer to drink out of bottles. Prefer cans much more once empty. Throwing empty bottles at a trash can across the room is a little riskier.

Depends on the beer but I mostly drink beer that only comes in bottles so there really isn't a choice.

But for example I prefer PBR from a can rather than a bottle.

Canned beer loses too much flavor.

A lot more fun to hit road signs with bottles.

If I am out, draft. At home, bottles.

This. Could be my imagination, but canned beer tastes metallic to me. Draft by far then bottles for me.

Bottles, but I don't get the hate for cans. There are some really legit beers that are canned now, mostly uber-local microbrews (Half Acre in Chicago, Surly in Minneapolis, Dale's from Colorado). While bottles may have a stigma of pouring "better" beer, cans are more than OK as long as the beer is more than OK. Just pour it into a glass and enjoy!

I am sure posters such as etb, snotbubbles, and jordo all prefer bottles, because they probably think it somewhat resembles a penis. I choose bottles, because I feel like the beer tastes a bit better from the bottle.

I prefer bottles, but generally go cans for several reasons.

1. The throw away factor is under rated. Garbage night alerts the neighbors within a two block radius that you are indeed a fricken' lush.

2. The stack factor. The mini fridge is set at such a cold temperature that eco friendly tree huggers everywhere would cringe. Bottles simply don't store as well.

3. When I am going to be drinking, I'm not going to be just sippin' a couple, Imma pound a bunch, and safety becomes an issue along with the stack factor.

Really doesn't matter much to me but I don't like to switch between the two. If I start out drinking cans I like to drink cans all day; same with bottles.

That.

Cans are for large parties and car rides.

Either way it's going in a glass when I drink it so I have no preference. No difference between the two.

If draft was a choice, I easily would have gone with that.

The best way I've found is re-heating in a skillet on a stove. But I will eat it cold.

It's mostly bottles for me, if I don't have draft. There are many microbrews that are using cans now.

Oh yeah, without a doubt. Hurp.

Bottles have a metallic taste as well, from the bottle cap. I actually prefer cans, but it also depends on the beer.
