Lol whatever..im out of here. Withey just shut down the #1 overall pick. Broke the all-time NCAA tournament blocks record. Still has another year to prove his worth. Pretty sure he'll go first round..but we'll see

Lol that was the whole point of this..I said that, karen made it seem like I just said my grandma will go first round. Then I said 7 footers usually go higher than you would normally put them (and I said see: BJ Mullens). Lol it's really ridiculous we just spent that much time on this

Isiah Thomas fired by Florida International. He just needs to stay away from basketball, because he's clearly awful at everything other than playing.

Alex Oriakhi update:

John Calipari met with Alex Oriakhi and has scheduled an entire weekend visit with him in 2 weeks. Oriakhi is visiting Missouri next weekend. He's also met with Xavier coach Chris Mack. Calipari told him that he has 2 returning "players", which likely means Kyle Wiltjer and Ryan Harrow. Oriakhi is also familar with Calipari and some of the incoming recruits/uncommitted recruits for Kentucky. He's also said that playing time is important. Kentucky, Xavier and Missouri should all be contenders, serious ones next year, but the one thing all have in common at this point is a lack of front court players. Oriakhi says those 3 are in line for visits, and he would likely speak to North Carolina and Duke about visits as well. He initially says he considered Gonzaga and Washington, but has ruled them out quoting "why go that far when I have options closer." UNC and Duke, both projected to be strong, also need front court pieces.

It seems like Oriakhi has really done his homework. These seem like his final five, and all would offer him major opportunity to earn substantial minutes.

Georgia State leaving the Colonial for the Sun Belt. Backwards move...and they just add more "cluster****" to the Sun Belt when it comes to Geography.

Definitely a football-based decision. They want to move up to FBS.

They could have gone for football only IMO.

The Sun Belt is going to need teams moving forward, once all of the re-alignment finishes.

Sounds like Indiana and Tennessee.

The 66-page report documented a handful of secondary violations against a number of the school's programs, but it focused on the phone calls and texts. The NCAA enforcement staff labeled the improprieties as "major violations," mainly because of the frequency with which they occurred. Combined, the men's and women's basketball programs sent 738 impermissible text messages and made 528 impermissible calls over a span of nearly two-and-a-half years.

Honestly, it seems harmless enough, phone calls and texts that is. However, what I don't get is that these things are easily traceable with modern technology. It's understandable to make a "few mistakes", lots of schools make them and self-report. However, this seems like a blatent disregard of rules and doing so KNOWING you will get caught.

Was this sarcasm, or were you being serious? I must be living under a rock, because I don't recall Drew or Mulkey being involved in any 'dirty' situations previously. I'm not saying they weren't--I just don't remember any.

Well, I dont give a shit about womens basketball, so I have no clue on that lol.

But Scott Drew is dirty. I dont know for sure, but I think this report might finally lend proof to him telling IU recruit Hanner Perea to commit or he would have him deported. That all came out back in 2010 when he fired the assistant. The AAU bit in that article is about it, imo.

Drew has also been rumored to be in some wrong doings before, but not formally caught Perry Jones III and Ekpe Udoh come to mind.

Here are articles about Hanner Perea:

[INDENT]Morefield also sent a text to LaLumiere coach Alan Huss, which was obtained by FOXSports.com, saying that if Perea didn’t go to Baylor, he wouldn’t be back in the United States.
“I guarantee u if he does [commit to another school] he will be in Colombia for the spring and summer and next year. Don’t forget it,” the text said.
