Yeah that was copied off of ESPN's drive chart. It was still two defensive snaps either way.

When Bauserman came in, it was two touchdowns, not three. Most of his early passes came in third-and-long (and one or two in second-and-long) situations. Because when he came in, the defense was able to key on the backs and load the box because of how he's not the threat Miller is. You could tell Nebraska's defensive scheme IMMEDIATELY changed to "stuff the run and make the QB move the chains". And let's be honest: the team hasn't had great line play all year (getting Adams back does help, but doesn't make them world-beaters) and doesn't have an elite back. If they can't provide the hint of danger from the QB spot, whether it be scrambling or passing, they won't move the ball no matter what.

The other out is the coaching. How in the hell did they allow the defense to fall apart like that? A good coach will rally the troops in the face of adversity (Miller going out). When Miller left the game, it obviously deflated the team. Everyone at the bar I was at had a collective "oh shit" feeling when Bauserman went in. I don't blame the loss on Bauserman, but is lack of ability deflated the team. Should it have? No. But it did, the players knew they weren't scoring much else with JB in there and the defense imploded. This is the coaches fault.
