How is the new season of Dexter? I've heard mixed reviews from friends. I hate not having Showtime anymore.

Lori is pregnant. No surprise there.

It'll be interesting to see how this develops though.

I'm interested in seeing Merles return as well. Been a while since we heard anything about him.

I thought it was a good episode, but probably the weakest of the season. Not real sure why saving the well from the zombie was stressed so much. Who the hell would drink the water anyway? I'm pretty sure the zombie had been bleeding to begin with, so it didn't make much sense, especially because the farm has 4 or 5 other wells.

Didn't understand that part either. Zombie was bloody, well was already contaminated.

All they pretty much did was confirm what everyone already knew/thought about Lori.

It was the second "filler" episode in 3 weeks. And it's bullshit. Last season, every episode was jam packed. This season, every episode so far could be combined into 1, one hour show. I'm beginning to wonder if they'll ever find Sophia before the season ends....

I hope they either find her or some clue that leads them somewhere else soon because this is dragging way 2 long. I wanna know what that family is hiding that they dont want everyone 2 find out about. From the way they acted when they talked about what would happen if they found the girl(if she was turned) they probably have a zombie family member hidden away or something dumb like that.

That's what I said to my wife. Originally, I thought that thing in the well was going to be a family member of theirs. But I'm still betting that they have a walker that is a family member that they don't want to kill. The doctor was talking at one point last week to Rick, telling him that this is just another outbreak that human kind can overcome. He said it was similar to other diseases that broke out, and that a cure could be found and everything will go back to normal. That made me think they have someone. Then this week, when Rick asked him if they could stay, the doctor said "there are things I can't and won't discuss..."

Something's just not right. I'm just hoping this storyline starts to move again. It's dragging on something painful.

I especially liked seeing her sideboob in last night's episode. Looks like The Walking Dead got wind of Doug Benson's #sideboobsunday on Twitter and incorporated in.

Is it possible Merle already found Sophia and is keeping her safe for now? I also think they have something or someone hidden away somewhere

Hope I'm wrong, but I said last year I didn't know how many seasons they could really drag this out before people lost interest in killing zombies. And that's your explanation - last year they were going for broke hoping to get picked-up, now they have to develop an actual story arc (longer-term), along with non-repetitive side plots, and a number of shows to fill.

There are simply elements of the human condition that aren't particularly interesting to watch. Yeah, in the zombie-apocalypse parents still stress over the possibility of losing their child. We get that and it doesn't make for particularly compelling tv.

The sheriff, or main character, and his wife/kids are fairly boring. The interesting guys - Merle and his brother and the deputy - are more complicated, but it's a tough challenge to write because at this point only Merle's brother is sympathetic (i.e. a "bad" guy we can like). I don't know what they're doing with the deputy - are we supposed to hate him, are we supposed to sympathize or understand the decisions he's making? I don't think the writers (or perhaps the actor) have done a good job with the character. We don't want to empathize with him, and I don't find myself "pulling" for him. He's kind of become annoying and irritating.

That's a good way to bring him back. They said he and his brother knew those woods like nobody else, so it's where Merle probably would have run-off to alone. He sees Sophia and there's any number of directions his character could go. Does he think he'll be a hero for saving her, or does he think he needs to leverage it somehow to get back with the group? He might try to put her in harm's way somehow hoping the sheriff and/or deputy get in over their head trying to rescue her (so then he and his brother can take control of the group).

No kidding. I'm tired of this storyline, if the kid would've listened in the first place they wouldn't be in this position.
