So I say if a team has a QB regress so much that they end up being able to nab the #1 pick/the #1 QB coming out that they will pull the trigger and your argument is a team that had its QB regress and get the #4 (?) pick and pull the trigger with the top QB coming out...Philip Rivers.2kool4skool;922408 wrote: A lot of good QB's have seemed to regress, along with their team, in their 2nd seasons as starters. Drew Brees among them. The problem is generally the talent around them.
Of course it could backfire, but Rivers looking like the sure thing prospect and he was. SD, imo, made the right call. Brees wasnt going to do what he is doing in NO. Even so, the argument can be made for Rivers. This could be very similar. I think Luck is the best pro prospect since Peyton Manning. Much better than Bradford.
If Bradford can win, thats great and no need to draft a QB. Bradford is good enough to win titles (Big Ben, etc are other examples. Not on Mannings level, but certainly good enough). Then again, if Bradford comes out of the year with 2 wins....he isnt good enough to win anything. 2 wins is 2 wins. They play in the worst division in football. The talent was .500 last year, it didnt get that much worse.
