It was nice to see Ashland put a R/B in the backfield with the QB to help them get their running game going it's been awhile since we had more rushing yards (135) than passing yards (116), sophomore #26 Jacob Allton did a good job running the ball 8 carries for 70 yards.

Back in he very early 80's we had "Red Riders" on the backs of the jerseys...haven't seen anything in my research that had it on the front.
How about that matte (no gloss) black helmet some college teams are going with? I think that would look sweet with our helmet stripe.

It would look so sweet, but still have the "tradition" part of the helmet. I've yet to find a team that has a similar helmet stripe to ours.....which is really neat. The only thing that I think resembles it is those old college football helmets that OSU had with the thick red stripe
, but even that was just a solid color. Most teams use the double or triple stripe.... To me, our helmet is the best part of our uniform.

Please don't change a thing we have the sharpest uniforms going. I agree our helmets are the best.
