I saw this show on the new stuff on Netflix the other day and started watching it. Basically it follows around a polygamist family and their 18 or so kids. All the girls I know that have seen it make a huge deal over how the guy is a total pig. Ignoring the fact that the wives' made the choice to get into a polygamist relationship my argument is that he is just crazy as hell. I'm not married but going off what most people I know say dealing with one spouse is nearly enough to make you go insane. I mean imagine if thavoice had four wives. This website would need a much bigger server. Not to mention that in this particular show the physical attractiveness level from wife to wife is skewed to say the least. Personally I wouldn't want to subject myself to living in a house with four jealous women and a shitload of kids. What say you, OC?

But seriously, this show bugs the hell out of me. 1st of all, Kody just seems like a guy that needs his ego stroked.

2nd, why they hell do they have such a need to be "accepted"? It's like they just can't be happy until people accept polygamy. I say who gives a shit. Live your life like every other person does, and don't worry about whether you are a polygamist or not. Nobody would probably give 2 shits about it.

3rd, why do these "special interest" groups alway expect everyone else to change their rules/laws/thoughts when THEY are the exception. Last I checked, it's against the law, and they knew that from the beginning. Yet they whine when they are being investigated after doing a cable tv show! Also, I think I can say with confidence that most people think this is not normal. So why push your thoughts on the majority? And lastly, how can you be a Christian and think polygamy is ok?

Oh, and one more thing, how can a guy have 4 wives, and only one is semi-hot, and not want to spend all his time with that one?

I'm not sure I would use the word bother but the start of the show for me is the creepiest part. It starts out with this weird music number and then each wife has a one liner as they are being showcased. The best looking wife says "The wives' work together. I want to be a part of that team." Every time I watch it I feel like I'm in the Twilight zone.

4 wives is 4 too many.

Saw like 3-5 min of it this past weekend I think it was. It was the part that the attractive one was being highlighted.

I just dont know why a guy would want 4 wives. Seriously man. I guess one for cooking, one for cleaning, one for paying bills and the other for sex but even if that was attainable I am sure that I would probably hang myself.
