It's hard to believe it's week 7 already. Champion defeated Liberty 6-0 last Friday while Campbell beat Ashtabula Edgewood 31-16. Campbell needs to play with some intensity this week to gain momentum for the Girard game. But if they stumble against Champion, the Girard game will mean nothing. Your thoughts?

Could be worse, look at what's happening over at Harding.

Campbell should win... even if they are still just going through the motions. This can, and by all means should, be a tune up game for Campbell, heading into the Girard week.

Campbell should win this week but Girard is a whole different monster then any other team Campbell has played all year.

I agree. But Campbell needs to focus on Champion first. Cochran still feels the sting from the beating Campbell put on Girard last season. He wants revenge.

Champion is 2-4. Their two wins this season have come against winless teams, Conneaut and Liberty. They are 0-2 in the AAC-Blue, losing in blowout games to LaBrae and Girard.

There is nothing to talk about. Win this week and then figure out how and why you have no leadership. Plain and simple. NONE. If you can't bring one qtr of damn intensity to the field then I don't know what to say.

It's time to show some fire from the start of each remaining game to the end. It looks as if Campbell will move up to 10th in region 17. Every game is important. If a playoff spot being on the line doesn't get these kids fired up, I am not sure if anything will. Take care of Champion on Friday.

They have a chance first, to share the AAC blue title. Thats if they win out in that tier. They have a chance to gear up and play the hardest game of their careers when going to Girard. A chance to represent this town the way it is suppose to be represented. If....IF they were to pull a W there....that will be major points to put them in control of their destiny. I mean what on Gods green earth is it with this team for cryin out loud.

And I will tell you something else. I am growing tired of the FB Red Devil pages acting like they are doing our community so proud. People tell me I am too harsh but I will tell you this, all of you.....this is MY TOWN. And i will be damn if I am going to just be OK with it being represented like its been lately by a group of young kids who have all the talent in the world....and NO HEART. NONE!

As a conditioning coach...this team wouldnt last five days with me. I apparently would be too hard on these poor 17 year olds.

I have the opportunity to train Crestview's Varsity boys every summer......and my oh my let me tell you what a joy it is. Talk about animals. Forget Ursuline folks, My Rebels are crawling around in the background. Campbell has all the talent in the world. They can go toe to toe with Crestview and Girard. Do they want to? Well we will find out real soon. First lets see if this week, unlike last weeks win, someone wants to wake the hell up already.

It's usually the ones that people perceive as the most harsh, that care the most.

You need to go through hell to be a be called a real Campbell Red Devil football player! Not this spoiled, lazy, arrogant, undisciple nonsense that pollutes the field on Friday nights at Knapick Stadium. Coach Knapick is probably turning in his grave!!

I am happy to announce that the Board of Education has put in motion the wheels to recognize the 89 and 90 football teams in our stadium. Unveiling is tentatively planned for week 10 campbell vs. struthers. Details are currently being worked out, but if anyone would like to donate or help find donors please private message me. This is the first of many things that are planned to honor our past teams. Please be patient and let one thing fall in place at a time, all teams will be recognized in due time.Thank you.

That is fantastic to hear. Curious to see what they will do over the years. I hope the stadium receives some kind of makeover in terms of memorabilia.

That's good something is being done to honor some of these teams. But shouldnt all of this been done when they opened the stadium? I mean all the great teams should be recognized somewhere in that stadium. That along with field turf.

oldschool, supposedly the gridiron club does not want to spend the money. Field turf would be nice. But there is no money for that either. Poland got their field turf primarily from donations of business and citizens. Soupcitysoldier has done a great job at least getting things off the ground. And he is asking for donations. I am donating. The gridiron does not want to handle this for him. They did help getting his idea forwarded to the BOE.

Been a while for me to post on here. Im still alive. But from what I'm gathering from you and my brother is Campbell is in a downward spiral. I heard that the coach went and did some attitude adjustments. But is that a little to late? Should have been done week one and two. Well Campbell should get this game. But I'm finding hard to believe they can duplicate the heart of last years team with Girard. They have the talent by a million over. But without heart that's like having nothing. Sad what happen this year. Heard some didn't play last week. Was it the right people? or did they allow most to play? Either way Go Devils. Pride Your post is 100% right! I might just get to go this week!!! See what happens if i miss games! LOL

Think about this and it's the truth!!!! How many lawyers, doctors, dentists, etc do we know that graduated from Campbell? Now think about how sad it is that 70% plus donate nothing to their Alma mater. If anything they give to their Childs school system now which more times than not is not Campbell.

Before we get all wound up think about it. Let me put it to you this way, I graduated with not one, not two, not three, not Four, not five.... But six doctors now. Doesn't include attorneys, pharmacists..etc. For the most part, not a dime from them.

That's the difference, Poland and Canfield have their alumni as well as ours donating to their schools. Hard to compete with.

That's the reality now folks. I'm way off? Do you honestly want me to start naming all the Campbell families in Poland? People moving out and away.... 15 minutes away. That's the reality of Campbell Ohio. I myself may be one of those statistics in a few years. Hard to raise money in a town that has no help from "it's own".

Kudos to soupcity soldier for taking this on.
