ARod futile whether it is the dire 2 out, none on, 9th inning AB down one, or the more hopeful 7th inning situation with bases loaded and one out down one!

A-Rod doesn't give 2 fucks..he got his ring. He's gonna sit in on a 10k/hand poker game tonight and completely forget he was in the playoffs tonight.

And I'm thinking to myself..that's probably EXACTLY what I would do..

Whew! Awesome game. Tigers are set up well for the Rangers. Won't be able to calm down and get some sleep for a few hours.

Verlander in 1-4-7? Or does Leyland stay adamant about no short rest and go 1-5 with Scherzer 2-6 Fister 3-7 and Porcello 4?

Only way Verlander goes in 4 is if they're down 3-0, given Leyland's tendencies.

I think (hope) JV can talk himself into a 1-4-7 situation. It all depends on how deep he goes in game one. The obvious unknown is that he has never pitched on three days rest before, so you'd hate to waste his start. It will be interesting.

I think that way is the best choice.

Game two is not guaranteed to be Scherzer either, as he would be throwing on two days rest. Probably Porcello.

How many pitches tonight? I think Verlander threw 56 in his bullpen session and that's about average for most starters on their throw days between starts.
