Sabathia vs. Verlander Friday night. Can't wait. Really think the Tigers are flying under the radar right now. Fister has been incredible since the trade.

Glad to see MLB was quite predictable, making sure all Yankee games are at 8:30.

More proof of this statement. Joe West is the crew chief of umpires for the Brewers series. He isn't in the top half of umpires in baseball, but somehow is the head man of one of the 4 playoff series.

I can remember after the NHL lockout everyone talked about how Gary Bettman is the worst comish ever. It is pretty sad, but I think Bud Selig has definitely surpassed him.wes_mantooth;916106 wrote:Bud Selig is the worst

At least they're using him in the early round?
I wonder if Jerry Meals will end up getting any work? Or if that whole massive blown call kind of ruined it...

Rays with the most inexperienced Game 1 pitcher in MLB history, Matt Moore. Awesome! Love that Maddon is rolling the dice. Kids got some good stuff.

I'm pulling for a Rays/Dbacks series but it probably won't happen.

You are right I would love this. I was at game 3 and 4 of the 2009 World Series. Up 3-0 in the 3rd game and the Phillies were down 4-1 going into the 8th and the Phills comeback to tie at 4 only to give up 3 in the 9th and lose that game. Listening to the Yankees fans chant "Who's your Daddy" in game 2 and 6 made a grown man just want to cry.

After Wednesday night's tension, and all that importance on the last many games the Rays and Cards played, I told some of my fantasy fellow competitors that I wouldn't be surprised if one of those teams playing game one with much less pressure than they have had on a game in quite a while, that they might score double digit runs.

Good play by the fan in center on Shoppach's HR. He needs to work on getting his momentum moving toward the plate before the ball gets there, will help him get more on the throw.
