At what point does the media start questioning Holmgren as to why he is letting a rookie HC serve as his own offensive (which is a very true statement about that side of the ball) coordinator and call his own plays?

It is not working.

Couple of points that I have after this game:

1. The defensive line is showing improvement each week....even though we didn't get a sack, they limited Johnson's big plays.
2. Secondary took a big step backwards after this one...Safeties have to play better.
3. Need to take better angles and make tackles better in the open field.

4. 4th and 1 and you don't give it to Hillis.
5. Where has Evan Moore gone?
6. What WR can we trade for?
7. Playcalling....Are you serious Shurmur, this is your "west coast" offense?
8. 60 passes is just absurd....FYI we do have a running game!

9. Both Dawson and Maynard had probably the best games today.
10. We are a LONG way away from contending.

good summation. I'm not sure what the game plan was...but It should be forever scrapped. Where was Hillis? What was the thought process on keeping him on the bench?

This team just isn't very talented. It doesn't excuse getting blown out at home, but 2-2 is as much as anyone could realistically expect at this point. There are still about 10-12 missing pieces.

With a team that is developing, I don't care that much about the record. I hope to see improvement in the way that they play each week, and I think several areas of the team have taken a huge step backwards this week.

I thought the Dline was nonexistent today. Titans Oline dominated them.

Safeties were terrible hihglighted by Ward's blown coverage (after he ran his mouth about his coverage skils lolfail) & Young's PATHETIC tackle attempt on the TE.

The 4th and 1 call, shurmur outsmarted himself and tried to get too cute.

As for Evan Moore, our right side has been so bad that Alex Smith has been seeing more snaps to help block on the right side. I was hoping Glasshos would be able to help this situation. I guess we'll see after the bye how he's progressed....assuming he makes the trip to Oakland healthy which is always a question mark.

I tell you what, watching this Packers Offense is pretty depressing from a Browns fan point of view.....Their rookie receivers are better than any of the receivers we have....

I can see your point about not playing Moore at Te.....BUT hell why not split him out wide and let him run some routes, he can't do any worse than what the receiving corps is doing.

Does anyone have Shurmur's address? I need to send him this book I have in my collection of coaching books:

Brian Robiskie actually caught a couple of passes today...meaningless passes, but for him that is an improvemnet. He may have been the only one that "improved" today.

I agree, he is miles ahead of Failbiskie. Esp after signing him to a contract extension, he should play more.

That's what I don't get....you give this guy a new contract and just let him stand on the sidelines??? You got to be kidding me, this is about as bad as Mangini not playing Jaime Mitchell last year.

The things shurmur is doing lately is really confusing me.

Hasselbeck: 10/20 220 yds 3 tds

He did all this being without their #1 WR and a bunch of avg receivers and Te's

McCoy: 40/61 350 yds 1 td

Browns have avg Wr's and really good Te's and we can't do a thing. These 4-5 yards throws will not win us any more games this year.

They ARE who we thought they were. Truth be told, I had the Browns winning this in a blowout. Was told the Tits were an "undisciplined team with a horrid special teams." Dude must have been talking about the Browns.

The receiving corps sucks but McCoy is slowly but surely losing any confidence I had in him.

Exactly.....I do not think Colt is the QB of the franchise.

I am more convinced that Andrew Luck is a franchise QB than I am Colt becoming ours.

I saw a QB today who never set his feet or trusted his line to keep him upright long enough to make a pass longer than 15 yards. Now, whether that pressure is real or imagined on Colt's part, it's affecting his play.

The coaches have to be seeing the same thing, so I'll be curious to see if they make any attempts to correct what's happening and get him out of his bad habits (shuffling his feet constantly, moving around and pumping his arm instead of making a decisive throw).

If it's a case of he doesn't trust his receivers to be where he's throwing the ball, then we have the same problem we did coming into the season, even with the addition of Little.

The fact that Moore is not playing except when they get into the red zone tells me it's as much a line problem as anything right now. Pashos just came back, so maybe it will get better -- but I saw several "blocks" on the right side to day where the lineman simply ignored someone lining up to blitz, and gave him a clear path to McCoy.

As for today...the defense was so bad all around, it wouldn't have made much difference in the game what the offense did. When you give up more than 20 yards per play, you've got a defense problem. We saw it all day with missed assignments and bad tackling. It's like the defense was going through the motions.

If that doesn't improve after the bye, it won't matter what the offense does because we'll be giving up 30 plus points per game.

I'm starting to think that all of these "dink & dunk" throws are showing that McCoy CAN'T make all of the throws and the staff isn't all that comfortable with him stretching the field.. Truthfully, I'm not all that impressed with Luck's arm strength either.

Yeah, he needs to STFU. It's one thing if they fought and lost on a last second FG but they got bent over and drilled in the wazoo. This wasn't even a game. Show a little effin PRIDE.

He doesn't get the real fans that actually cheer for the Browns are the diehards that actually care about Browns football. We criticize and talk about games because we love football and want to win.

Ward is the last person who needs to say something like this because he has absolutely sucked recently. He needs someone to tell him how to do his job because he hasn't been doing it.

It was a pick play by the Titans. The official that would normally see this was not there since the umpire was hurt, he had to move up.
