I honestly don't care how bad Braxton Miller is, I'd still play him, or maybe bring in Taylor Graham, that's all I'd do about the QB situation. There is absolutely no point in playing Bauserman because he takes forever to throw the ball and is scared to make a throw. The final TD throw may wake him up as that was a riskier throw, but he's too gunshy to try to make a play which leads to the patented move of throw the ball 15 rows into the stands. Give me a qb that will take his lumps and isn't afraid to be aggressive over one who won't throw a pass to someone if they're remotely covered. Dude needs to get some confidence in himself and maybe he'd be the answer but he's too scared to try to make a play.

Because college athletics (nowadays) is closer to pro sports than it is to high school sports. These are grown men. They can take a booing. And the booing isn't so much directed towards the players, as it's more directed towards the coaching staff and the failure of a job they have been doing. People have the right to boo poor performance, especially when they're paying a hefty price to watch it.

Booing is a way/sign of letting those who are in control know/realize that they are doing something wrong. Sometimes coaches, administration, etc. are so far into the forrest that they cannot even see the trees. When you have a RESOUNDING 100,000+ booing, obviously there is something wrong. Something that the staff is not seeing. Something that the staff is not realizing.

I think a better question is... why shouldn't people have been booing last weekend?

As "amateur" as the NCAA would have you believe college football is, the truth is it is closer to pro than amateur. Deal with the booing. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. If you are unhappy with the product on the field, the easiest and strongest way to voice your displeasure is to not pay for the $70 ticket. I just have a basic belief that once you're into a college football game, booing your team equates to being a fair weathered fan. I understand what you say about college football nowadays being closer to pro football than ever before. But close as it may be, it is still an amateaur sport. In fact, it is the school's varsity football team if you want to look at it in the most parochial way. Booing the Buckeyes (by supposed fans of the team) is no different to me than going to a Capital University game as a Capital fan and then booing that team when you don't like what you're seeing.

I guess I'm old school that way. Booing your own college team shows visiting fans a terrible side of our Buckeye family if you will. I go to a lot of NFL games, and I don't hold the same rule there. The NFL is purely a business and makes no bones about it. That's one of the reasons I like it better. However the business nature of it makes the entire fan-player relationship different.

I'll leave it at that. You're entitled to your opinion certainly.

I think booing is roughly the equivalent of sticking out one's tongue, or holding one's breath until turning blue. People are free to express their opinion of what they are watching, but should always remember that no one else gives a shit about their opinion.

Overall, yes. He's a great president. But when it comes to athletics, whenever he talks, there's a good chance he'll come off as an idiot. First with the "sisters of the poor" or whatever comment and then REALLY with the "I just hope coach doesn't fire me!" deal.
