Professional sports have zero integrity....win by any means necessary...faking injuries, steroids...etc

Probably only a yellow since half the players would be ejected each game if it were a red.OSH;904182 wrote:It's actually never a red. It isn't a red cardable offense. It is only a yellow. Sorry.
It doesn't start in professional sports. This stuff is prevalent in all sports, at all levels.wes_mantooth;904262 wrote:Professional sports have zero integrity....win by any means necessary...faking injuries, steroids...etc
That's not the reason. Not even close to it. Red cards are for the harshest of the "laws of the game."Raw Dawgin' it;904273 wrote:Probably only a yellow since half the players would be ejected each game if it were a red.
clearly my post went over your head.OSH;904361 wrote:That's not the reason. Not even close to it. Red cards are for the harshest of the "laws of the game."
No, I got it. Just didn't think it was really that funny [or accurate].Raw Dawgin' it;904370 wrote:clearly my post went over your head.
You don't think it's accurate that soccer players are pussies and take lots of dives a game? Well you're in the minority.OSH;904473 wrote:No, I got it. Just didn't think it was really that funny [or accurate].
What is "lots of dives a game"? I watch matches all the time and always see a full 90 with no diving. The bad thing is that its prominent on the biggest stages....WC, Champions League, etc, which are higher profile and come under more scrutiny.....which is rightfully so.Raw Dawgin' it;904490 wrote:You don't think it's accurate that soccer players are pussies and take lots of dives a game? That's because we're not euro pussies.Automatik;904495 wrote:What is "lots of dives a game"? I watch matches all the time and always see a full 90 with no diving. Thats why I'm a huge fan of the US even though they are rather average. You VERY rarely see a US player take a BS dive.
Yeah I'm agreeing with you, although I don't really care who watches games, big or small. If you don't like it, you don't like it. I'm not trying to sell the sport.Raw Dawgin' it;904498 wrote:That's because we're not euro pussies.
On your first point - most people in the states only watch the big stage games where we see tons of flops and guys trying to get an advantage. If your big stage games are filled with players being idiots and diving, no one is going to take the time to watch the smaller games. So if the pros on the big stage feel the need to dive there's no way i'm about to watch a lesser team play.
A lot of this was going on last season with teams playing Oregon witch hopes to slow down their uptempo offense. Absolutely bush league and the coaches should be ashamed of themselves.GOONx19;904525 wrote:
I believe it happens. I also don't like it. Like I said earlier, the referees can put a stop to it. And they've taken some of the actions.Raw Dawgin' it;904490 wrote:You don't think it's accurate that soccer players are pussies and take lots of dives a game? Well you're in the minority.
Ah, the couple times I remember seeing them get reds from it they had a yellow already now that I think about it.OSH;904182 wrote:It's actually never a red. It isn't a red cardable offense. It is only a yellow. Sorry.
I did. I agree. They dont dive ever, but they embellish as much if not more often than soccer.trep14;904831 wrote:I'm surprised nobody has brought up basketball yet and all of the flopping that takes place in bball. I actually think there might be more flopping/embellishing that occurs during an nba game than a soccer game.
