Here's another question for you. Let's say OSU goes after some of the names you mentioned and they are turned down. How much damage does that do to the program for whoever takes over? There was a lot of publicity about Notre Dame when they didn't get their top couple choices. Now, ND's program was probably worse off at the time they were hiring than OSU is now (depending on how you view the NCAA thing hanging over their head or the ultimate outcome), but it was at least a question to ponder about how really the tradition didn't mean as much to candidates anymore.
So again, would you guys rather OSU shoot for the stars at the risk of looking kind of foolish (if they were to be turned down several times) or go with a lesser known name that allows them to sell him as their top pick?
