If its an MMA type anything goes fight. I sure would hope an MMA fighter would beat a Boxer. Thatd be like saying a Kenyan would beat Usain Bolt in the 5000 meters, its running...but completely different kinds of running. Just like Boxing and MMA are both fighting...but completely different kinds

Good day, sir.
I'm wrong? A few TT? I said let me know when they have 6 TT...and let me know when 90% of the timeline is posts about an MMA fight.

UFC may be better/more popular...but the top boxing matches>>>>>the top MMA matches

Good night, sir :D

Dude, this wasn't a top boxing match. Everybody knew PBF would win.

It's trending like crazy BECAUSE OF HOW IT ENDED. Lmao

Hell no, they are so mismatched it's not even funny. Everyone knew Floyd was gonna win just like they knew Manny would beat Mosley.

Come on, Ortiz had NO shot. He was outmatched and outclassed in this fight. It's why he threw the headbutt to begin with!

Also, Ortiz was happy because he wants no part of PBF. If he did, he would have been pissed demanding a rematch.

Ortiz was happy to get paid 2 million, and that's the end of it

You didn't say no kicks and knees. In which case any MMA fighter that doesn't blow would demolish a straight boxer. Boxers stand more narrow since they don't have to worry about checking kicks so a straight boxer would probably still have this stance and not be able to walk for a few days after the fight.

But anyway that sort of hypothetical is stupid and tired and we've already seen those "this discipline vs that discipline" fights a million times. And the boxing vs MMA thing is stupid. We get it, boxing still draws more PPV and such but to act like that will always be the case especially with how boxing has been doing the past 10 years vs how MMA has been doing during the same period.

Wait some more time. No younger people really give a shit about boxing but they all love MMA. Anyone that's too young to remember Tyson fighting doesn't care about boxing.

Who cares if it's trending on twitter, do you think this was a GOOD thing for the sport. Embarrassing fight, and even more embarrassing production after it.

The only publicity the sport receives in the mainstream is negative anymore. This, and the inability to put together the one fight people really want to see.

Nailed it, anyone see what Aldo did to Uriah Faber's legs, damn. Don't think boxers would like getting kicked in the face/head either, but it's a pointless discussion.

Indeed. People who think PBF is fast, have never seen the quickness of Aldo.

I was messing around, it wasn't a 'shot' at MMA...I literally told you on this very thread that I have nothing against MMA

I read that during the post-fight press conference Floyd called for Larry Merchant to be fired. Why? Well, Floyd stated,"He don't give me my just dues."

LOL
