I know it's just stupid, take some of that money and invest it back into the sport, guys don't need 20-30 million per fight.

Guys won't fight without gettin that 20 million, so might as well pay them.

You don't pay them, you don't get a fight.

And it's not like the sport isn't making money off tonight's fight.

I'm surprised Mayweather took this fight.
This will be the first time he has had to deal with a young, strong welterweight.

I'm not confident enough in Ortiz to pick him to beat Floyd but I won't be surprised if he pulls off the upset.
Mayweather is a little past his best, he doesn't move around the ring as well as he used to and he won't be facing an opponent who is a only a few years shy of 40 tonight.
He is still the far superior boxer though and Victor isn't hard to hit, if Floyd is going to lose it will be because the younger man drug him into a slug-fest.

Afonso Gomez got to fight Saul Alvarez based on name recognition and nothing else, I sincerely hope the ref doesn't let it go any longer than necessary. They will draw a good crowd out there for that fight though.

Erik Morales fights are always good but I know nothing about this guy he fighting other than that he has no losses and is a short notice opponent after Mathysse pulled out with an injury.

I want to order this ppv tonight but I'm not sure if I will get home in time and won't buy it if I can't watch the entire broadcast.

Prima Donnas. No one needs 20-30 million for a fight, it's just the culture that boxing has created that this is accepted. The two biggest names won't even fight each other it's sad. Promoters should pay fighters and themselves less and put more back into the sport to help it return to prominence, but they are greedy and won't.

If you can get 20 mil a fight, I dont see why you dont. Its not like theres a single organization that runs almost everything like in MMA that they can give back to.

I'm not saying they shouldn't take it, I place most of the blame on the promoters. Plenty of things they can invest money into though, advertising, promotion of fights in other countries/regions, do they have insurance for their fighters(doubtful)? They should also invest in their young up and coming fighters, which no casual fan hears about because they only seem to care about their cash cows.

For some reason I think Ortiz gives Mayweather a better fight than expected. He's stronger than anyone he's fought in awhile.

Do you have and HDMI port on your tv? (If you have an HD tv then you do)

Also, I saw the price of this PPV. It's 70 fucking dollars.

Yes. I'd suggest going to the nearest Walmart/Electronics store to buy one.

Do you know what the cord is called?

I'm gonna go buy one real quick before this OSU game starts...hopefully it'll work, but my friend said he doesn't think it will since this is an older macbook.

Bought a VGA adaptor and a VGS cord...cost me $50 but fuck it, I can put Browns games up, Bobcats, Bucks...and of course tonight's fight.

Pretty pumped now.

What time will the fight start you think? I'm hoping right when the OSU game is over I can flip the match on and its still like 20 min'ish away from starting
