And what if he doesn't want a 6 year deal?
I wouldn't be surprised to see most of them take smaller deals. How could anyone be surprised? They've done it before.

He could very well decide he wants one less year. But he still makes more money with a sign and trade because of the increases. If he does a sign and trade the increases are 10.5%. If he doesn't, it is 8%.

Yeah, I know how the increases work. It's one of my biggest arguing points with LeBron--but I think if LeBron wants to leave Cleveland he's just going to walk, he won't sign and trade.

The whole notion that a player should care about winning more than the money is stupid anyways...it's like if the guy wants a max deal he doesn't care about winning. You can care about both--not saying you're saying he can't but others have pretty much said that. He says he cares about winning more than the money, those words have come from his own mouth so I don't see any reason to really not believe that.
