I'll be heading down to this one.
Steelers humbled in their opener at Baltimore. You never know until they play but on paper this looks like a game they could get on track a bit. First home game. Seattle team traveling a distance. We'll see.

Ok thanks, wasn't sure what the rules for your idiotic reasoning was behind that. Good thing for you since Penn State and the Steelers both lost.Non;894316 wrote:It doesn't change week by week.
That MIGHT be the case had the Steelers not gotten thoroughly punked.Non;894321 wrote:Steelers lost at Baltimore, a game they may have lost even if they played well. Ravens are a playoff caliber team.
Browns losing at home to Cincinnati is a worse loss.
10 point spread seems low considering how bad Seattle is.bigdaddy2003;894331 wrote:Steelers by 10+. Tavaris Jackson was a bad decision by Seattle.
Probably the worst team in football...probablyRaw Dawgin' it;894334 wrote:10 point spread seems low considering how bad Seattle is.
You were predicting the Browns would go 10-6, and now all of a sudden after one game they aren't a potential 6 spot, and the Bengals are? lol ok. I definetely don't think the Browns are playoff caliber, just find it funny how you change your outlook after one week. Honestly your assessment of the Bengals should be the same assessment you gave to the raiders.Non;894337 wrote:I'm encouraged by this:
It's early but it would appear the playoff caliber teams in the AFC are...
New England
New York Jets
Baltimore
Houston
San Diego
after that the 6th team is really up for grabs
maybe there will be a surprise, like a Buffalo who looked good in Week 1, but Pittsburgh still looks like the best of the rest
Buffalo-maybe
Miami-no
Cincinnati-maybe but probably not
Cleveland-no
Jacksonville-no
Tennessee-no
Indianapolis-maybe but probably not without Manning
Oakland-no, that was a lousy game, two bad teams one had to win
Denver-no
Kansas City-no
I put a lot into that first game for the Browns. I think they needed to start well for once.like_that;894348 wrote:You were predicting the Browns would go 10-6, and now all of a sudden after one game they aren't a potential 6 spot, and the Bengals are? lol ok. Same could be said for the Steelers. They looked god awful in the opener, even worse than the Browns I'd say. Could be a long year for steeler fans if they dont shore up that oline.Non;894357 wrote:I put a lot into that first game for the Browns. I think they needed to start well for once.
I expected them to win that one and set the tone for a good year.
It's not the same for the Steelers. For one thing, they have a track record of success.Commander of Awesome;894362 wrote:Same could be said for the Steelers. What team doesn't need to start well? Good commentary Capt. Obvious.Non;894357 wrote:I put a lot into that first game for the Browns. I think they needed to start well for once.

It's different depending on the team. A team like Cleveland who hasn't been in the playoffs a lot, it's not a good thing to give away a home game against Cincinnati and then go on to win 10 games. It's possible but more devastating than a Pittsburgh losing a road game at Baltimore and then shaking that off and having another playoff type season. There's no question about it.Raw Dawgin' it;894367 wrote:What team doesn't need to start well? Good commentary Capt. Obvious.

That was when they were younger. You look at these national analysts/pundits and almost EVERY one is saying Pittsburgh looks "old and slow" on defense. It won't show this week because Seattle just flat out blows but if the trend continues they'll get steamrolled by the better teams in the league.Non;894365 wrote:It's not the same for the Steelers. Really? It's not? Read that sentence and try and convince yourself that you don't sound like an idiot.Non;894375 wrote:It's different depending on the team.
