I heard him say it live, thought to myself "did he just say what I think he said?"

I forgot about it just as quickly. He'd have been better off not apologizing/ revisiting it I think.

He took so long to apologize I have to believe he was instructed to do so.

Oh I'm sure he was, but I think instructing him to do it was the wrong call as well. The slip took a fraction of a second and I'm sure a lot of people missed it completely, but then revisiting it with an apology just shined a big bright light on it, in my opinion.

Yeah, I think an apology off air via print or something would have worked better. Get it out there, but you don't bring immediate attention to it. Makes it less of a big deal while still covering your bases.

...maybe they should do an internet broadcast of games with alternate audio on it using the language that many fans would use. I know on Any Given Sunday when we watch games it is easily the worst language I and we all use. that could be a bit interesting.
Can you imagine the language on an alternative audio of NBA games on BET?

What would be over/under on n-bombs? Would middle america be able to understand half of what was being said? What would be said about guys like Steve Nash, Dirk, Jimmer, etc.

Now that I think about it, I bet their ratings would go through the roof.

^^^ I was referring to profanity.... and before you make this a race issue, yes alternate audio's done by whites would contain profanity as well.

That's my bad. I just didn't think this seemed like it was profanity-based.
