How many times has Acta brought Perez in, in a tie game and he has lost it? i can remember at least 3 times this year. Why do it? Although that pitch to the batter before the grand slam was strike 3.

The entire bullpen seems to have mailed it in.

7 losses out of the bullpen is really bad.

Well, managed to make his 7+ ERA 8+...hoops23;890071 wrote:It'll be interesting to see if White can improve his 7+ ERA with Colorado.
Amazing how bad he's been..
Cincy rocked him tonight, his stat line:
5 IP 8 Hits 7 Runs 6 ER 5 Homers allowed.
His ERA is now at 8.18 in 3 starts with the Rockies.

It doesn't matter anymore what White does....only what Jimenez does for us.

He pitched much better than this before his injury. He's obviously not the same pitcher right now.Crimson streak;891482 wrote:But according to footwedge he was a proven pitcher in the big leagues lol
As a matter of fact, he pitched against the same Reds team in an Indians' uniform and did quite well.

As bad as Alex White was yesterday, Pomeranz has been that good today. 5 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs in his MLB debut to this point. Only 63 pitches through 5 innings. I have no idea what kind of pitch count the Rockies have him on.
Indians up 4-2 on the Sox. Valbuena and Crowe have a combined 5 hits, equaling their combined total for the season heading into today (they were 5 for 41).

Pomeranz will be a stud. It was easy to see.Mulva;892206 wrote:As bad as Alex White was yesterday, Pomeranz has been that good today. 5 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs in his MLB debut to this point. Only 63 pitches through 5 innings. I have no idea what kind of pitch count the Rockies have him on.

Pomeranz was topping out at 91/92 today... He was hitting 95 earlier in the year.
You can't put much stock into one outing, because the Reds hadn't seen him before, that advantage usually goes to the pitcher.
By the way, Ubaldo had another solid outing for the Tribe. Anybody see that 98 MPH heater to get the K on Konerko in the 5th?

How do we know which pitcher he is? That's why it was foolish to label him as a great pitcher after 3 GOOD starts.royal_k;891490 wrote:He pitched much better than this before his injury. He's obviously not the same pitcher right now.

As I said in my previous post, the first time a pitcher faces the team, the advantage usually goes to the pitcher... The second time a team faces a pitcher (the Reds in this case) that advantage is minimal to nonexistent for the pitcher.
Also, more tape is out on White now as well.
Maybe the finger is bothering White, but IMO, that's something to be worried about. We know what that type of injury can do to a pitcher (Adam Miller)
