Upsets happen. If Colorado played Georgia this year at a neutral cite, Georgia would be double digit favorites
LOL, I'm not even considering the win against Akron when talking about whether or not the Buckeyes would be favored at home against Boise St. This is still Ohio State we are talking about. People act as if they lost every starter off last year's team. They are a top ranked team still and predicted to finish second in their division in the Big 10. They very well could still win the Big 10. they still have one of the best defenses in the country.
Sorry Crew...but Boise State is 7 points better than our Buckeyes right now...on virtually all power ranking charts. Google Sagarin for one. Home field is worth about 4 points. So...Boise would be a 3 point fav at Columbus...and probably 11.5 favorite in Idaho.
When speaking of consistency in the college football world, Ohio State must be considered. I'm not saying they would win against Boise St. at home (although I would bet on them), but to say Ohio State wouldn't be favored at home against Boise St. definitely proves to me that someone doesn't understand the world of odds making. BSU was a 3.5 point favorite against ****ty old Georgia! BSU would go into Columbus, the reigning 6 time Big Ten champs and a team that won 2 consecutive BCS bowls and still have one of the best defenses and be favored? OK. Easy for you to say when the game isn't happening.
Call Vegas...they will all tell you Boise wiould be the favorite right now.
See above. We're talking Ohio State here. Wisconsin, Nebraska and Ohio State are 3 teams in the Big Ten that I'd bet almost anything on being FAVORED at home against BSU.
Wisky and Nebraska are rated a good bit higher than OSU. It would be close to a toss up in Nebraska, and Wisky would be a slight favorite...1-2 ponts...in Madison.
