162 games is retarded, cut it in half. Personally, if baseball became defunct I wouldn't care, it's on par with golf and poker as the most boring sport on espn.

They especially should do away with division if they expand the playoffs to 5 teams in each league. I am all for shortening the season as well, but too many purists will complain that it will ruin the history.

I wish the season had ended back when the Pirates had a winning record and a slim lead (percentage points, I think) in their division. As opposed to allowing the debacle known as August to happen.

eliminating divisions is stupid...that gets rid of the division races that make the tail end of the season so exciting
