Did something change from yesterday?

Was there a change yesterday?karen lotz;883827 wrote:Did something change from yesterday?
As of yesterday he was going to appeal. His lawyer submitted a letter to the league sometime last week notifying them of the intent to appeal, but he has since had a stroke. Did you really not hear about this? You normally seem to be on top of things.Pick6;883828 wrote:Was there a change yesterday?
And we should take him on his word?JerseyBuck;883815 wrote:Doubtful for many reasons, biggest reason being he's said many times he doesn't want to coach in the NFL.
Makes a big difference. The NFL was upholding suspensions. You are suggesting punishing for past actions that weren't punished.SportsAndLady;883735 wrote:No I don't think so..does it make a difference? (honest question)
This is still absolutely ridiculous. Suspended for what? His NFL job has nothing to do with what happened at OSU.JerseyBuck;883805 wrote:Thing being missed is that Jim Tressel, not the NFL, suggested the suspension. The Colts just agreed. Yet people are still bitching about Tressel.
His attorney filed the paperwork to do so. The story seems to change every day.Pick6;883817 wrote:Pryor isnt appealing.
Because sometimes Tressel taking the high road for no reason makes him look like a dumbass. This is one of those instances.JerseyBuck;883805 wrote:Thing being missed is that Jim Tressel, not the NFL, suggested the suspension. The Colts just agreed. Yet people are still bitching about Tressel.
yet...that's what he's doing (sorta)JerseyBuck;883815 wrote:Doubtful for many reasons, biggest reason being he's said many times he doesn't want to coach in the NFL.

This is not a good trend. Goodell can be such a tool.TigerNation10;885017 wrote:Goodell basically said on Mike and Mike this morning that had the Colts decided to not suspend Tressel that he would have. I really don't understand that at all. Why has Pete Carroll not been suspended?
I think the Tressel thing is completely retarded, but what does it have to do with Pete Carroll? Pete Carroll was not personally in trouble with the NCAA nor did he receive any punishment from the NCAA (or his school). The two situations have nothing to do with each other.TigerNation10;885017 wrote:Goodell basically said on Mike and Mike this morning that had the Colts decided to not suspend Tressel that he would have. Had Pete Carroll not gotten up and left before the shit storm he was involved with while at USC he would have had NCAA punishments.enigmaax;885032 wrote:I think the Tressel thing is completely retarded, but what does it have to do with Pete Carroll? That's not the same thing.TigerNation10;885061 wrote:Had Pete Carroll not gotten up and left before the shit storm he was involved with while at USC he would have had NCAA punishments.
Well, you are just completely wrong. Carroll participated in the NCAA investigation (answered their questions) and was never implicated personally. The NCAA could still have placed Carroll on that "show cause" probation whether he was still there or not (see Bruce Pearl). They didn't and he could walk onto any campus today and be hired without the NCAA giving two shits.TigerNation10;885061 wrote:Had Pete Carroll not gotten up and left before the **** storm he was involved with while at USC he would have had NCAA punishments.
