This will be the first game I've attended since the Jeff Garcia era. Can't wait! Go Browns!

Browns in a rout.

This is a bad, bad, bad bengals team that wont win a game until midseason or later.

Read in the paper that there are rumors that Carson might be coming back. I'd probably take a couch potato carson over dalton if I were the bengals.

Browns should win this game, but you never know with this team. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Browns only have 1 opening day win (vs the ratbirds) since coming back as a franchise.

I will be at the game. Staying the night in Cleveland the day before. First home opener I have ever attended, and first Cleveland/NFL game I will attend where it won't be below 30 degrees. My friend's apartment is right near the stadium. We were going to tailgate (first time tailgating for a Cle game too), but I was wondering how territorial people are at the muni lot. Will we need to drive there, or could we just walk there with a case?

Are you asking if ou can just walk there and find space for your own tailgate party to set up or you meeting up with people.

They tend to pack the lots to the gill

Pretty much hoping to set up, but that answers my question. There are a few people i could meet as a backup plan.

The muni lot is always full. Not sure how territorial people are, but fuck 'em, there aren't assigned spots or anything. But if you're just planning on walking over with some beer you should be fine. Not sure how fun it's going to be to just stand around with a case of beer, though. It would probably be best to get up early and drive over.

The Bengals blow. They will be in the running for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes in April. Mike Brown wil probably draft some guy with a criminal record, attitude issues and who is overweight instead.

Correct in that the Browns have won ONE opener since the return. They have found a way to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory (Rudd helmet incident, etc) on a few occasions.

I'm not as confident that this will be a "rout." If the Bengals can get their running game going, control clock, not have to rely on Dalton to make plays and play solid defense, this will be anyones game.

Yeah, after letting their starters sit last night (and yes, I know everybody does in the 4th preseason game), a new offense/defense and a shortened off season I could see them come out rusty, etc. Nothing's a "gimme" with these guys, especially on opening day.

I look for the browns to establish the dominance they will show throughout the season.

I would have liked to see the starters play at least a couple of series. Many of the better teams in the league, such as the Packers, played their starters at least a series.

I expect the Browns to win. I think it'll be something like 24-10.

There will be a few of us there(Mantooth, Fab4, myself, maybe some more?). You could always just meet up with us.

No doubt. I'll probably just hop the fence and jump into oncoming traffic. Sounds like a better time.

BTW, are we still doing the tailgate for the Browns/Bengals game down here?

I would love this -- but as BR has noted, the Browns have tended to find ways to lose their openers since coming back as an expansion team.

I take nothing for granted being a Browns fan.
