$40mil Seems fair for both sides. He could have played out this season for $16mil and probably signed a long term deal for another $40mil guaranteed if he didn't get hurt but good move to lock up what he once had.

Good for him to redeem himself, 6 years seems like a lot for someone who is already 31 and relies on his athleticism to play the position though. He has improved from the pocket though as evident from last year.

Glad to see one of my favorite players signed for an extension and gettin paid...but i think they overpaid a little for him. Shoulda cut the years down to 4 or so id say

Crazy contract, he still hasn't played a full season in years, his style of game lends itself to injuries and one can make the argument that his success last year is partially due to his absence and teams not scouting him. There is little chance the Iggles fulfill the entire $100M, but still the $40M in guaranteed is nonsensical.

IPOTW? Then how come Ricky Williams is one of only a few RB in history to rush for over 1000 yards in a season over the age of 30 (the age running backs hit a wall)? He is a rookie in terms of wear and tear on a player, he's held a clipboard for his entire career. He just happens to fucking suck, unlike Vick. Its not a fail, way to argue with an exception. Look up how many times vick has stayed healthy for 16 games. Exception? What's the rule? How many players miss 2 years away from the game in their prime? The only ones I can think of are Williams and Vick, and both have excelled since returning to the league. No spin control needed Frodo. I can also point to players like Jerry Rice, TO, Farve, Emmitt Smith etc.. that played well into their mid 30s + without every missing a season. How does that fit into your away from the game 2 years BS? How do you factor in a Kajana Carter? lolfail, just admit it was idiotic statement/dumb assumption and move on.
